I spoke to a super duper policeman after sunrise and he told me that the ticket scheme was a ruse to that they would have legal grounds to kick us of after sunrise, so there you have it strait from the horses mouth.
You really believe this version of history? I was there I jumped over the gate with my dog and walked into the stones as did a lot of people, we stay until sunrise and watched the sun rise over a new dawn, it was all rather lovely, even the police were smiling. The ticket thing was a mistake and an unpopular mistake at that, Im sorry you got sucked in but you could have got in as I did.
I was there but I don't see me on this Video....... I was there in 1999 too, the year of the 'Offence against the Fence'.
When some crazy rioters that came from London broke down the Fence and the Permissions that had been granted to us to enter the Stones for the Summer Solstice were recinded!
FreeRunningDavid, what's it like being a Druid? how do u kno u r a Druid anyway? I think im one b/c i feel vibrations from grass, and trees and plants, i fell better when i go outside when the moon is out, after i go outside from being exhausted, i wasnt anymore, i need someone too explain all this Druid stuff too me, thx and Blessed be if u can.
I would like to invite you to watch videos from philip carr-gomm he has fascinated me with what he has to say I find them where ever I can. Druidry is just the love and respect of nature and recognizing it for the beautiful masterpiece of artwork that it really is.
Umm, you don't have'ta pay any mind to me, (I'm only 14) but I just thought I'd give you my best guess at that stuff. I think you might just be one of those people who's really in touch wid nature, or maybe your like an indigo child or something, like ur soul is real wise. something like that, cause I don't thinkk druids would come anyware near humann civilization.
that simply means you are reconnecting with the natural world after for so many years ignoring it!
you can take it as far as you wish, and Druidry is definetly an option, but never forget that beauty you speak of, because that's the most important part!
Druids are Pagan depending on your definition of what Pagan means. To many today it means One who has a religous/spiritual practice that is Earth based/reverent. So to me and Many others Druids are Pagan. Again that depends on your definition.
i may be christain but i hear christains go way back to the pagan world i hear some christain's are pagan's to or something like that can you help here please
By definition ChristoPagan is contradictory. Christianity does go back to Ancient Pagan times and They did have Pagan practices adopted, such as the Yule Tree/ Christmas Tree and Samhain/All Souls Day. They used to even use the Pentacle, which is Pentagram with a Circle around it. To Christians I have heard it marked the 5 wounds or something. Many Consider Catholicism to be more Pagan or even a form of Witchcraft because of all the adoptions it made to convert people.Hope this helps.Blessed be.
i wouldnt say that christianity took a lott of significant dates and special times on the callender from the pagans like yule unless of course they just coincide but thats highly unlikely i wish christianity had never come to england ever its been nothing but a tradegy but then again im no exspert so plz continue to research further into this
Actualy, the word "Druid" means "Oak Man". What sickens me is that Druids get lumped in with Wiccans and Pagans. They are not either one. Their whole religious system may be a little similar, but there are huge differences. For starters, Druids are celibate. They do not eat meat except on rare occasions, such as when doing the Wild Hunt. Again, alot of differences.
It makes sense now, because all the relationships he's been in ended - I guess he's supposed to be celibate. But, he really does want a companion though, so it's really according to what he chooses to believe. He shifted towards Buddhist beliefs recently.
Of course the Druid's did not create Stonehenge. But, it is an extraordinarily Spiritual place. I am certain the ancient, pre-Christian Celts had, now lost, legends about Stonehenge and likely did use Stonehenge. Today Druids DO make use of Stonehenge.

I had a boyfriend who was a Druid...

Druidism is part of the Pagan subculture. Even Hinduism is Pagan. Pagan is an umbrella term for most pre-Christian polytheistic religions.
Wicca being formed by Gerald Gardner in the 50's is classed as a form on Neo-Paganism.
I'm slightly confused about the Dryad thing? I thought a Dryad was the spirit of the Oak tree

I was lucky enough to walk amongst these stones when I was little - a strong memory. Well before it became heavily visited and commercialised.

Just to be there and feel the solstice in the majesty of Stonehenge. That must have been awesome!

Dang. That's why I need to be in Britian. T.T Are you a Pagan? Because if so....that makes two of us :)

I'm not a pagan, a Druid yes. Too bad the druids didn't make Stonehenge.
