  • A classic that I saw in the theaters when it came out. I'm from Central Louisiana and this isn't too far from Fouke so we were nervous to go into the woods. This movie had an impact, fer sure.

  • spooky? or kooky?

  • This makes me laugh. A woman sees a hairy monster, so she sends her 7-year old son out to get help. The monster's out there, remember. What if it killed him?

    DUH!

  • no. peter falk passed away.

  • isnt this the falk monster

  • i havent seen this movie since i was a kid, so glad its on here.

  • nothing scares me easily nowadays, but this movie makes me jump every now and again. The monster roar is pretty good.

  • @18Musicguy i still get goosebumps when i watch this.

  • Cryptozoology novel see video book trailer

  • R.I.P CHARLIE YOU MADE MY FAVORITE MOVIE EVER.

  • @svengaligraves13 indeed!! he did.

  • the opening scene is just great how the camere goes around the shore and the sunset it was just magnifficant

  • I love how creepy the beginning is - with the camera slowly moving over the lake.. Awesome!

  • Damnet why couldn't there be some kind of fake Legend where I live so I could make a Mocumentary and cash in on it, like a Land Octopus or a giant fire ant

  • They are currently remaking this movie. They say that they will implore more folklore, and the title will be changed to, simply, "Boggy Creek". It is scheduled to be released Summer 2010.

  • september is national canton belanger art month

  • @15jarret peu importe

  • @15jarret dumbass

  • I remember going to the show and seeing this with my best friend....We had to walk home, which was only 6 blocks.but it was the worse 6 blocks i ever had to do...We walked down the middle of the street and every little noise.....we'd jump,lol........Thnx for the memories.

  • So great! It brings back my childhood memories of living out in the country. Thanks for uploading!

  • @foxinjapan2008 enjoy the spooks!!

  • @foxinjapan2008 Did you see the creature when you lived out there?

  • @DieselProductions11 I'm not from that area. I'm originally from Ohio. But, I lived out the country and this movie really captures the feeling one gets, especially as a child, when you are alone at night in the country side.

That being said, there are people who believe that a bigfoot-like creature exists in the more remote reaches of eastern Ohio. There is a Monster Quest episode dedicated to the "Grassman" of Ohio.

Friends of mine claim to have heard very odd, howls out where they live.

  • @foxinjapan2008 Sorry for that. I was having a "clueless" day.

  • @DieselProductions11 No worries! We all have those moments. From time to time!

  • omg this looks like where president bush hid after hurricane katrina!

  • frightening

  • It still scares me. A low budget classic!

  • anybody seen a beavecoon

  • @ff5fanatic115 lol spener shay. Icarly lol

  • @Airsoftman67 yup u know it the beavecoon is beast

  • I kinda get a deja vu feeling here. The picturesque red sky and sunset casting rich, dark gold light on the the land in the opening sequence kind of reminds me of the closing sequence in the Texas Chainsaw Massacre. Amazing cinementography.

  • @DarkHeartedMusician great critique!!

  • Watch out for skunk apes!!

  • Haha. I'm watching this with my sister. Her uncle was the directer. Like half of her family is in it. And the blond kid is her cousin. This is so cool! Haha.

  • they said it was rated G

  • this came out in the 70s

  • This film was broadcast on British television in the early 80s, on a Thursday, on BBC2 at 6pm. I remember it well because it scared the pants off me! I've been waiting nearly 30 years to see it again, thanks for putting it up.

  • @potus170142

I remember when they showed it on BBC2 aswell. I'm 33 now, remember being scared by it also, so it would definately have been early 80's. I managed to buy a region 1 dvd version of it about 5 years ago.

  • @mightymatt20 i too saw it at the same time and couldnt cycle past the woods near me for months

  • @potus170142 it came out in the late 70s

  • thanks this is great ,i have this on vhs but my player broke.

  • I love this movie. Thank you for uploading it, friend.
