The Arctic has increased in ice over the last couple of years, Antarctica has been increasing in ice for 30 years and in 2007 set the record sea ice area. The industrial revolution occurred around the little ice age, for the last 150 years we have come out of the little ice age, thus increasing temperatures by a mere 0.7 degrees celsius. Since 2001 there has been no temperature rise, a slight cooling.

My theory, take it or leave it, is the cap and trade program is designed to hold back developing countries that can't afford to completely retrofit their manufacturing and transportation systems. The catch is, it will cause mass unemployment here in the states too, because there are a lot of companies that are just barely hanging on right now. The proof of man-made climate change lies in the ocean. The ocean's acidity is increasing steadily due to the carbon dioxide being dissolved in larger quantities. To see climate change happening quickly, look at NASA's satellite imagery of the north ice cap. Year by year the amount of ancient ice gets lower, as the amount of total ice area in the summer gets smaller. If the Russian government told you the truth, they would be reporting on their plan to station their navy in the Arctic Ocean.

I can tell you lack a basic understanding of economics, along with most of the politicians in Washington. Your so called "boom" is the problem. This boom is made overspending, supplied by cheap money from the federal reserve. Clinton was part of this, and so was Bush when he tried to avoid the recession in 2002, by spending and lowering interest rates.
A recession however is the cure to the mal investments made during this time. Unfortunately government interference is not letting this happen.

Try looking at a graph longer than a decade.
Looking at one decade(even the most recent) is not how you judge the overall trend for warming or cooling on a planetary scale.
100 years plus is the minimum time scale required to get an accurrate long term view of this.

Yes i agree the lack of Sun Spot activity probably is having some kind of effect.
But Solar Cycles are only 11.1 years long.
The historical data going back over a century and a half clearly backs the idea that human activity is speeding up global warming.

Carbon Dioxide represents only 0.000378% of the atmosphere. The Arctic has increased in ice over the last couple of years, Antarctica has been increasing in ice for 30 years and in 2007 set the record sea ice area. The industrial revolution occurred around the little ice age, for the last 150 years we have come out of the little ice age, thus increasing temperatures by a mere 0.7 degrees celsius. Since 2001 there has been no temperature rise, a slight cooling.

My theory, take it or leave it, is the cap and trade program is designed to hold back developing countries that can't afford to completely retrofit their manufacturing and transportation systems. The catch is, it will cause mass unemployment here in the states too, because there are a lot of companies that are just barely hanging on right now. Raise the price of energy 50-100% and they will be forced to shut down, or they will have to be subsidized (nationalized ?) by the govt.
