  • thank you very much for sharing! incredible!!!

  • Amazing! The source of all invention and real freedom, now. The proove that music does not need electricity or amplified system for be extraodinary powerfull.

  • Does anybody know what key this is in?

  • Fuego Carajo!!!! echenle Agua q se Queman!!!! jajajaja

  • What a band!

  • I love that there is a woman playing in the trombone section!

  • I listened to Q's bands when I was in the army in Germany in '66-68. They absolutely burned. He was just another expatriate musician then, but a great writer and arranger. I used to ply his tune, "Stockholm Sweetnin" then, in Gflat

  • Please add the musicians especially Melba Liston, the arranger to the tags, give thanks, this is phenomenal

  • R.I.P. Floyd Standifer...my grandfather on trumpet he's the one on the end that you can't see till the end of the video. He used to talk about how him and Q (as he called him) always hung out.

  • @cjmusicstyle

I knew Floyd -- such a great talent! I was lucky enough to hear some of those stories -- like when they played a gig and the power went out, but they kept playing!

  • YEAH Quincy!!! MELBA LISTON on trombone!

  • I read about this band in his autobiography. What an amazing talent.

  • ... and Quincy took off to stardom :-)

Only 26 years old at that time.
