Personally, I think that Diablo Cody's dialogue and humor were a great combination with the cinematography. Overall, the actors/actresses played their parts really well, I felt. The whole movie wasn't even propelled by adrenaline and a threat of spontaneous action. It had a beautiful arc that held out until just the right time, progressing over a long period of time leading up to a pretty awesome, well... catharsis. I think it was worthy of best picture.
