The real "Minerva" died in 2009. She was not a "Voodoo" woman, but rather a Hoodoo woman.

This scene is a good example of why the movie didn't work -- even this, the title scene, just lays there, flat as a pancake and does nothing.
Eastwood just missed all of the potential in the story.

@MidnightinSavannah this is true. Savannah is my favorite city in the U.S. And indeed, touring or even living in Savannah is worth it.
