Augusto C. Sandino International Airport is by far the smoothest customs experience ever. $5 and yes, Remember to write down the address of where you are staying... Otherwise, Like me, I was calling relatives for 5 minutes before I got someone to pick up to say "Colonia Las Mercedes" before they let me pass. LOL
Totally random that I found this video, I flew into Managua that same day, maybe even that same flight! Was on a morning flight out of Atlanta (Delta 317 AR@1250in MGA) and then caught a flight an hour later out to Big Corn! I was the last one off the plane I think, was in the end of the far line back by those cell phone kiosk thingy.

gringos in nicaragua i go here every year be careful in nicaragua alot of stealers but just enjoy nicargua is a lovely country btw im half nicaraguan
