Ya I totally agree I love daves slower darker music like the Lillywhite Sessions I dont really feel alot of Daves real poppy stuff I like the darker side of dave I feel he lets his guard down a little more
@MatisyahuBrimicomo some great songs on LWS, but they'll never hold up to the polish and quality of Busted Stuff. This was a great record, LWS was nothing but an unfinished mess, with Sweet Up and Down, JTR, and Monkey Man standing alone as their own kind of perfection.
Had they been finished songs, they wouldn't have changed for Busted Stuff
just heard the lilywhite sessions, busted stuff, without the same wording and the addition of the excellent and underplayed 'sweet up and down' and 'jtr', never released, as far as i know
LWS wasn't really an album, but i agree the songs were better than their Busted Stuff counterparts, save Grey Street. i'm sorry but "she feels like kicking out all the windows
Every facet of the Lillywhite Session's Grey Street is better than the actual album's. If it ain't broke don't fix it Dave

LWS were so much more natural and better, and sweet up and down was badass

Don't forget Monkey Man! Great, underrated song.
Lillywhite Sessions is one of my fave DMB albums by far. Raven's lyrics are great on Lillywhite Sessions cause they're so whimsical.
