  • Horror novel see video book trailer

  • I think to have Children of the Damned is ever remade, it would more than likely be a bloody disaster like the remake of Village of the Damned was. I can only hope Children of the Damned is never remade, in ten or eighty billion years I don't imagine a reamke of Children of the Damned being any less tosh and a total disaster like the remake of Village of the Damned was. In Children of the Damned, the children are not alike, in appearance or even dressed alike they all have the same mind .

  • You should never go up against negative thoughts, just accept them.

  • John Carpenter's remake sucked balls.

  • @Spartacus217 You are utterly 100per cent right that John Carpenter's remake of this sucks, ot is bloody crap and it was not worth the time and the money it is utter tosh. I much preferred the sequel to this orginal film which was called Children of the Damned, that film was ten billion times better than than crap remake in 1995. Children of the Damned was for me more preferable to this film the original Village of the Damned.Have you ever seen Children of the Damned, and what is your view.

  • @rojblake82 I bought the DVD of "Village of the Damned". On the flipside of the disc is "Children of the Damned". "Children of the Damned" wasn't anywhere as good as "Village of the Damned", but it runs rings around the remake. Have you read, "The Midwich Cuckoos"? The book "Village of the Damned" is based on? It's much better than the movie and I loved the movie.

  • @Spartacus217 I sincerely hope that Children of the Damned is never remade, in ten or even eighty billion years like Village of the Damned was regretfully, and wrongly as well. I don' timagine a remake of Children of the Damned, being any better than the remake of Village of the Damned was. In answer to your question, about the book the Midwich Cuckoos I have read it a long time ago, I remember reading it in school. I don't know if there is a book, that Children of the Damned is based on do you?

  • @rojblake82 It's not based on a book but there was a tie in novel avaliable, I picked it up recently but havn't been able to read it yet

  • @yorkypudify I am wondering in view of what you said about a tie in novel, of COTD what is it called please? I am wondering how much you liked COTD yourself and do you think it should ever have a reamde one day? I am not over sure about reamking COTD, myself but if a filma company chooses to do so we can see how it turns out.

  • @rojblake82 It's called COTD and is written by someone called A.V. Sellwood. The Publisher is Four Square, this seems to help on a lot of search engines, if you need any more information on the book im happy to help. As for the film It was incredbly better than what I was expecting, ending is superb! I only thought it was slightly lower than village, but that was due entirely to the superior atmosphere of the first film. Personally im not for remakes, COTD is such a product of its time as well.

  • George Sanders committed suicide. What a shame.

  • Can't really blame them for not wanting to become extinct. Good movie.

  • Its THE INVASION OF THE FASCIST RIGHT-WING HITLER-YOUTH FROM OUTER SPACE! Or, the Children of Cindy McCain! Run away!!!!

  • Thanks for the clip. I love this movie. George is always great.

  • "If you covered him with garbage George Sanders would still have style"

  • i have to admit, george sanders has the most beautiful voice and gorgeous eyes i've ever seen!!

  • Amen! His voice was orgasmic! :D

  • i would be running!

  • I will second that!

  • yeah, me too. I watched 1995 remake ver., but this one not yet

  • its realy good the kids in thise are so out of date though and their upper classenglish kids the remake the kids were american but they should remake it agein

  • @freacls The remake was absolute crap, and not worth remaking I sincerely hope Children of the Damned is never remade it would be just as crap as the remake of Village of the Damned not worth going there it really is not if it is not broken do not fix it.

  • @rojblake82 well idk a remake might be good yeah the 90s remake was poor but a new onw could work with the effects and that

  • @freacls Are you familiar with Children of the Damned the sequel to the original Village of the Damned I must say I always preferred Children of the Damned to Village, of the Damned myself. I would hope Children of the Damned is never remade it would most likely be just as poor and as crap as the 90s remake of Village of the Damned was.

  • @rojblake82 oh children of the Damned thought u ment village lol yeah i seen Children of the Damned once long time ago but remakes can be crap omg their even gonna remake the horroe Childs play

  • @freacls the special effects are the least important thing in the movie. The children and what they can do is what is frightening. That's much too tame for the kids these days. They want action, major special effects and gore. If they made this movie that way it would ruin it and without all that it wouldn't make it.

  • @icanseethefuture I say this do not bother with the remake it is utter crap and tosh, I would recommend watching the sequel film to this Children of the Damned it is way better than the crap remake. I personally prefer Children of the Damned to the original VOTD, I also must say the children in COTD are different in their appearance and in the way the dress. The one similiarity with the children in the sequel is they all have the same mine and are all telepathic and learn at the same pace.

  • @rojblake82 well that cmt of mine was 3 years old :). During the time I've watched both the original and remake versions and also COTD version.

Would you mind if I asked you whether you had read the original novel (The Midwich Cuckoos) yet? The children in both the 1960 and 1995 version had everything in common, because basically that was the main point in the novel. COTD was not an adaptation of TMC. Hence, I find it hard to draw a comparison.

Personally I prefer this one :-)

  • @icanseethefuture In answer to your question about reading the book yes I have read it a long time ago, I still think COTD and the original VOTD beat the remake of VOTD in 1995. Did you know that COTD was originally shown in 1963, three years after the original VOTD, and the ending of COTD has the children killed off like in the previous film. I also cannot see after COTD, a third film like these two ever been made or that it would even work. I hope COTD is never remade, like VOTD was.

  • @rojblake82 Yeah, it's the American - Hollywood's version after all. Talking about why I, a foreigner growing up in a place where people idolise the US, prefer the UK.

In COTD, I like how they showed us that we human are selfish and ignorant and the best part is, unlike in VOTD the children were there to conquer the Earth, in COTD they came to help, yet man killed them. It sends even a more powerful message about how ignorant we could be, more so than in the original version.

  • @icanseethefuture I would be very surprise dif COTD was ever remade,I really would I say if not broken do not fix. Knowing how disgusting the remake of VOTD, is and how pointless it is I cannot see a remake of COTD been any less crap and tosh like the remake of this film is. I say leave well alone and do not meddle with good things, that are well and truly okay as they are. I am very curious in many ways if the children in COTD, were really aliens or man advanced millions of years we don't know

  • great movie, i wish i could download it somewhere

  • i think you can get it on ebay for a when i moved house
