  • The Tomiki/Shodokan Aikido style has some clear similarity with the Wing Chun of how the hands play. Also the general idea has some clear similarity. E.g. "Wing Chun Deflections and Attacks" - I saw close to 20 videos here that would clear the point further. Wing Chun also gets its techniques somewhat from earlier styles.

  • Hey Steven Segal loosen up. Lol. this guy is like ROBOT. Hope they dont try this crap in a real fight. If so GOOD NIGHT.

  • what kind of aikido is this????

sorry, no offense but this movement is too robotic O.O

in our dojo, we're moving comfortably so that we could execute the technique very well and effectively

  • Heres my hand......oh no, im thrown!

  • what's the music called and where did u get it?

  • nice vid. What's the name of the song?

  • it seems tomiki aikido does reveal some inside movments wich are almost hidden in aikido...interesting.. however why not remove the contest aspect and add hakama so that it will be honourable in the samurai term

  • The competition aspect of Tomiki Aikido is only a very small part of this system of Aikido. We also wear hakama but not all the time :)

  • Very good. In my opinion every aikido style could benefit from praciting these basic forms of the techniques.

  • Good! ARe one of them you?

  • No not me, this Audrey & Modestas both 3rd Kyu at the London Aikido Dojo.
