  • you forgot to talk about the terrain inclination... when its airbone its different...

  • i will get one and let you know as i do think my synergy bogs down on full pitch, just brought one £20

  • oh i see to calibrate it

  • how will putting it on the head help with the pitch of the blades?

dont it sit on the blades or have i got it all wrong

  • so its self cali?

its possible my mid stick isnt spot on 0degrees

  • Yup self cal so you calibrate to the heli, either the body or I find the best spot is the top of the head. Very strong magnets a great tool.

    See I've come a long way since this vid (c;

  • have you used this tool, i do often think my pitch isnt as good as it could be.

dont you have to calibrate it first tho on a dead level surface?

  • give me 5 mins I'm doing a vid now.

Nope you calibrate it ON the heli this way it does not matter how level your bench is (c:

  • thats where we differ you see i would always set the swash cock on level.

getting ppl to set there swash on the piss is a one way street to crashing

  • Every heli I build has the swash spot on, this was aimed at the complete beginner as it helped me to learn to take off and land.

Top tip for your big helis, do a search for Wixey digital angle gauge, a fantastic tool for getting blade pitch spot on.

  • do you have any idea how to set up a heli?

ur swash must be way out, do all that with the links.

i hope no one buys any of your videos cos your clueless

  • Like said in the vid, it helps compensate for the natural tendency for the heli to go back and to the left. Once you have learned to take off and land your thumbs do the job and you can set the swash back level again.

  • how do you alter the elevator on the original Radio control 6 ch provided with the Belt CP?...I do have the same problem that you show in your video, but I don't know how to solve to get a steady fly .

  • You can use the trim sliders on the original tx or mechanically adjust the links until you are happy hovering.

  • how do you do to get a stable fly whit the original radio control 6 ch ??

  • Hi there, actually you can just use the trim instead of subtrim... the difference is not noticeable as the belt cp has a very sloppy head

And bring it up to a hover first before trimming because the ground effect adds many weird effects so it might not be the best trim

  • Gary had repaired all my helis i have crashed. He is the best heli mechanic. Very knowledgeable and helpful

  • Very good and informative to newbies like me. I have watched all of the DX6i setup videos and they are exactly what I needed to see. Thank you!

  • that gyro holds the tail rock solid

  • I think that is a Futaba gy401, although I now fly the Belt with a Falcon 3d gyro (£27) and it works just as well for hovering and forward flight etc.

  • how exactly do i get that free dvd and can you copy n paste the web link with the page with the dvd

  • Useful tips Gary, subtrim tweaking will be on my list of things for my 1st flight.

    Steve
