i'am from germany it's not right that there are no speed limits on the Autobahn there are many sections with speedlimits most of them 120 or 160 kM/h but the most time you can drive as fast as you want implied ther is no traffic but anyway driving fast is still dangerous i know what i'am talking abouth course i'm a Paramedic always wear your seatbelts Guys

You're absolutly right about the speedlimits. In some areas there are none, but others have many speedlimits going from 130kph to even 100kph.

And saying that the autobahn has no limit is not entirly true. The 130kph is advised speed limit.

I think that when you're not familiar with the autobahn you shouldn't be driving too fast, certainly not 180 or 220kph.

4. the maximum i was able to do on an autobahn is 165mph in my slightly tuned audi s4 (its got about 100 break more than stock)

2. Not true.. look at Porsche! It´s a gentleman agreement beetween BMW,Audi and Mercedes to limit there big Cars to 155mph (250kph), because of the security on the autobahn.

most restrictions are to protect the envirement because at higher speed more smok co2 and noise is produced. So to lower the level of smok and co2 in some areas there are speed limits.

The German Autobahns are Gods gift to car lovers. Travelled through Germany last year coming back from Hungary just so my friend and I could cane the cars we were driving to their top speed. Never has 205mph felt so much fun! And legal! :D

hmmm..no. there are no speedlimits for particular lanes but as you (hopefully) know: you may only pass someone on the left. this is why slower vehicles drive on the right side and its getting faster and faster going from right to left.
