  • Eliminate plastic by recycling. Build a house with it!

  • Ha! I love the automatic/manual car analogy. How funny, I love driving a stick and I chose a VitaMix! Heehee :)

  • Both blenders suck, owned.

  • I L O V E automatic so my choice is blendtech with the 4" blade!

  • I have a Vitamix. I haven't tried the Blendtec.

  • I use Montel William's "Health Master." I've heard that it's not as powerful as either the blendtec or vitamix but it's still much more powerful than a conventional blender. It's been able to handle everything I've wanted from it. I believe it was about $240 +/- . They allow you to make 4 payments on it which was really helpful.

  • blend tech is awesome! there is a new carafe out that has a four inch blade instead of a three inch that breaks down the foods faster leading to less oxidation in the blending process. the motor is also more powerful. i would say the vitamix is more popular though.

  • i Agree please change the opening music

  • @cupies

    i like the song! lol

  • Please change your theme song :)

  • I like vitamix but I don't own one. I actually own something called the Ninja food processor. Its the best thing in my opinion below a vitamix, its only like 60 dollars at walmart/samsclub or online. Its kinda like the magic bullet but twice as many blades, and its pretty good.

Only 400w but gets the job done.

  • I have not used either one so either would be a upgrade for me.

  • I love me my Blendtec. ; )

  • I have both of those blenders at home and I must say that I always ask myself the same question: "Which blender do I like more?" The answer is that those blenders compliment each other. I personally think that 2 companies need to unite and create some kind of blender, which will have the best features of 2 blenders.

  • I crashed into a snowbank the first time I pulled out of the driveway...thanks for reminding me...ha ha ha~

  • Vitamix! I like driving manual.

  • waiting for my Blendtec to get here, ill let ya know. never used a vitamix

  • There is a new 96oz carafe for the blendtec with a 4" blade. The base is so wide that you don't need a pusher for the food to drop down. Smoothies turn out colder too as there is less time on the blade needed

  • Vitmix, though I haven't tried the Blendtec so my opinion isn't that well-rounded. I do love my vitamix though. :)

  • Toilet BOWLS are ceramic, but the SEATS can be made out of plastic or wood. I recently got the high end seat (more expensive) thats made out of wood.

  • Vita mix here!!!!!!!!!!

  • vitamix.....

  • It may be hard to eliminate all plastics , but every bit helps . I don't buy bottles of water . I use Culligan water . This reduces the plastic , but does not remove it . I got rid of tuperware and just use glass bowls for storing food . Another great thing to do for the environment is to get cloth napkins .

  • KEVIN : Is storing veggies in plastic bags bad?

  • @TrueZeal good question, i'm wondering that myself.

  • My headache and dizziness have gone but my arm and hand is still numb. Please can you suggest what I can now do to heal.

  • I have a thyroid problem so I'm trying to get rid of as many chemicals in my environment as possible. That includes plastics.

  • Eliminating plastic in todays world is just not possible. I've seen blogs and stories where people supposedly eliminate plastic for a yr. Here's the thing, our toilets are plastic and out fridge/freezers are plastic.

For my family we don't use plastic bottles or cups unless they are BPA free and even then we use those sparingly. We also do not use plastic bowls to store foods.

We just got a Vita Mix last week and I can say I have been 100% raw since then! Yay! Now I need the Excalibur! LOL

  • I thought toilets were ceramic.

  • The toilet seat is plastic;o)

  • Not the one I have. It feels like the rest of the toilet.

  • never used a blendtec myself but the 'does it blend' videos are pretty good :)

    i have a vitamix- i also drive stick...lol

  • THANKYOU!!!!!!!!!! This settled me, I have been terrible here is the start and it upset me, but you gave me hope :) xxxxx

  • YAY, chin-ups here I come! Thank you for addressing my question! I'm pumped to learn what muscles to focus on and the correct progression/steps. Always surprised my biceps feel it, but not my back...

Blender: I have a Chinese-knock-off Vitamix. Works well but I would like to get a Blendtec someday. Vitamix has such a narrow base; gets all gunky, and I don't really use the tamper since my cupboards are low and it doesn't give me room to plunge.

  • Hmm. Could you not take take a non plastic bottlewith you to the airport? anf fll it while at the airport? Although i suppose the issue would then be drinking unfiltered airport water. Although bottled water is not exactly safe to drink either.

  • Is the brand of blender all that important, of course I'm not asking about the $30 specials? For instance, is a Vita-mix or Blendtec really that much better than a KitchenAid blender? Thanks

  • I prefer the Vita-mix, its awesome.

  • Where do you get your water from if not from plastic bottles or tap water? I don't have an RO filter.

  • vitamixer! but i need a second blender for work not sure which one to get help

  • Vitamix!!

  • It's actually called a learning curve and it is present in every activity. The older I get the more I realize that almost anything gets easier over time. Well, except laundry. That's the gift that keeps on giving...

  • There ya' go. Vita-mix.

  • Love the Blendtec! I have never used a vitamix but I am sure it's good also.

  • Only ever used a Vitamix and it's been nothing short of amazing! I'm a little jealous of this new 4 inch blade though for the blendtec! Looks like it blends things up much faster, and mixes the ingredients more thoroughly.

Vitamix has the 7 year warranty, plunger, and speed control though ; )

Can't go wrong with either one. Both have BPA free containers now I believe.

  • I haven't' tried blend tech, however I picked up a vita-mix 3600 at a yard sale for $5 a couple years ago. I love it even though it is very loud. You can make anything in it. smoothies, hot soup, or sorbert. And I guess bread dough though I haven't tried that.

I want to get a new one soon, I don't think my apartment neighbors appreciate it that I wake them up at 5am every morning for 5 minutes of vita-mixing.

  • LOL.

  • Lojete85, you are cute and I can tell you have a beautiful heart and soul.
