Producing quality champagne is far from "manual labor." And SOCIALISM has little to do with it. Every wine producing region has co-ops. It's a system that allows grape growers to pool their resources. Most growers don't have the capital needed to actually start their own wineries. Co-op systems allow the growers to focus their efforts in the vineyards, which is where the real work is done in making quality wine, while wine makers complete the vinification.
