I liked Eric up untilthe end of last week's episode and now I just don't care anymore. I'm all for sweet and sensitive but man, he's just a wuss. Bill on the other hand, should've told Sookie about all that mischigos and effed up severely in not doing so, so I'm being stubborn about whether or not Sookie should forgive him. But man, the way he looks at her..... really weakening my resolve over here. Especially after she got back from Fairy world and he hadn't seen her in a year.

I'm sorry, I'm still Team Bill. The worst that can be used against him was that he allowed Sookie to be beat in order to get his blood into her, but that was in episode 2. He had just met her, and as we have now learned, he was working to help displace the monarchy and had been not killing humans since the 80s. So he's still ahead of everyone's precious Playboy Eric, who refuses to see humans as equals, tortured Lafayette for 3 weeks, and has now bought Sookie's house as a way to control her.

That is how the attraction between them came about. They have sooo much chemistry on and off screen. The chemistry is one of the reasons why they got married not the other way around.

Bill has always protected, and even put his life in jeopardy, or broken vampire moral codes (killing another one) for her, knowing all the while the great risk he would suffer. Plus, Eric tricked her into drinking his blood. Bill did so to heal her after a massive head injury, to heal her. Completely different, and done so also so he could know where she was from there on, and continue to protect her. Love them together!

The Rattrays did not like Sookie and didn't need anyone telling them to beat Sookie up. And Eric may not have done that but he has done other things. I find that Bill's character in the tv series is a gentleman compared to the novel, where he is more inhuman. However much Eric cares for Sookie, in some ways he is no better than Bill since he is always calculating and trying to use Sookie to his advantage, whilst being affectionate with her.

People keep mistaking the book characters with the TV characters: they're not the same thing! Eric is more charming, and Bill is more inhuman, in the books.
I agree, Bill is more of a gentleman in the tv series. In the lighter moments of the second book, Sookie says it is like being with the Tasmanian Devil which is hilarious :P I'm reading the books just now, and actually find I'm starting to like Eric

Uhm sorry to say, but your wrong, stephenie meyer didnt rip off from anyone, True Blood first aired in 2007, The book in 2006, Stephenie Meyer's first book came out in 2005 soo...yea.
Now I do agree with you that Twilight is not a True Blood rip off. But the first book of the True Blood series (Dead Until Dark) was actually first published in May of 2001 while the show aired on HBO on September of 2008.
im pretty sure that the first book came out in 2001 and even the vampire diaries (which twilight also has a lot in common with) also came out long before twilight did

I'm writing a vampire book and it's not even close to what Twilight and true blood are. Actually the series isn't even called True Blood. It's called the sookie stackhouse series.
Do yourself a favor. Turn off your TV and pick up a book. The Sookie Stackhouse Series begin in 2001. Twilight was published in 2005. Do the math and tell me who copied who.
I'm reading the Sookie stackhouse books at the moment (just finished book 4) and the author is definately pushing Sookie closer together with Eric. Whilst in the series, i feel it is the opposite. However, there is a lot different in the series than the book, so who knows which way it will go?!
The whole Sookie/Eric thing is weird to me. I haven't read the books, but it seems like that would be REALLY uncool for Sookie to go running after Eric's sexy bod when Bill loves her completely and unconditionally, and would do anything for her. Eric finds her "curious." Plus he's manipulative and egotistical. :(
As much as I like Eric as a character, I really think Bill/Sookie is the way it has to be.
I feel like that scene was hint of him regretting taking this assignment.

People keep mistaking the book characters with the TV characters: they're not the same thing! Eric is more charming, and Bill is more inhuman, in the books.

I agree, Bill is more of a gentleman in the tv series. In the lighter moments of the second book, Sookie says it is like being with the Tasmanian Devil which is hilarious :P I'm reading the books just now, and actually find I'm starting to like Eric

@criznueve Bill almost killed himself for Sookie, he went out in the sunlight to save her. Eric wouldn't do such a thing, he's just ... a dick . a hot dick, but a dick. I love Bill, he's my favorite character.

Okay, I know I'm gonna catch heat for being on Team Eric, since Bill did have a secret agenda for courting Sookie. But the fact that he did fall in love with Sookie and cares for her deeply is undeniable, so yeah, Bill's still cool in my book. But to be realistic, in the end, I don't think Sookie is going to end up with either vampire.

bill and sookie have to save together! They haaaavvve too, eric just wants sex but bill truly loves her, he sacrifices everything for her... bill is soo fine, but i have to say the most good lookin out of the hole on TB has to be godric in 2nd series near the end

As much as I love Eric, I don't want to see him & Sookie end up together in the show because I think Bill & Sookie are one of those couples that just have to be together :P

You and me both. Stephenie Meyer copies everything from True Blood to Harry Potter. Her idea of unique is "sparkling vampires", which frankly, I think is more gay than unique.

Now I do agree with you that Twilight is not a True Blood rip off. But the first book of the True Blood series (Dead Until Dark) was actually first published in May of 2001 while the show aired on HBO on September of 2008.

whenever a new vampire book comes out now people are just onna be like THEY ARE JUST COPYING TWILIGHT AND TRUE BLOOD well its gonna happen it cant be helped if writers try to make vampires completely different in EACH book to make them different from others then they wont be vampires anymore!! eventually they will be something like purple people with four arms green eyes and yellow stripes who can fly and make them selves huge or sumfin

Do yourself a favor. Turn off your TV and pick up a book. The Sookie Stackhouse Series begin in 2001. Twilight was published in 2005. Do the math and tell me who copied who.

I'm reading the Sookie stackhouse books at the moment (just finished book 4) and the author is definately pushing Sookie closer together with Eric. Whilst in the series, i feel it is the opposite. However, there is a lot different in the series than the book, so who knows which way it will go?!

The whole Sookie/Eric thing is weird to me. I haven't read the books, but it seems like that would be REALLY uncool for Sookie to go running after Eric's sexy bod when Bill loves her completely and unconditionally, and would do anything for her. Eric finds her "curious." Plus he's manipulative and egotistical. :(
As much as I like Eric as a character, I really think Bill/Sookie is the way it has to be.
