The genesis version interestingly has an exclusive Easter Egg. Basically, you enable the extra options menu and select the "Okay Right?" Option. Next, play as Diablo. Instead of humans as followers, you'll see a devil with an oversized head of one of the developers on it. Regardless of if you win or lose, the devil will bounce up and down.

Sauron = Johnny Cage (both have moves with shadows)

Talon = Liu Kang (both have flying kicks)

Armadon = Raiden (both use lightning)

Chaos = Kano (both have cannonball move)

Blizzard = Sub-Zero (both are ice based and freeze)

Diablo = Scorpion (both are fire based and have "Toasty" finishers)

Vertigo = Sonya (both are lone females and have similar ring projectiles)
