  • yea but does he stop at stop signs?

  • i have to get this movie

  • Love the movie ,have a copy of it myself..but I always beg the question... weren't helicopters, like all aircraft designed to fly 'above' & not AT ground level ?? just a thought.

  • AVENIDA SERDAN, EN GUAYMAS, SONORA, MEXICO

  • I WANT THIS MOVIE ON BLU-REY !

  • My favorite heli in this is the villain's sexy blue Gazelle.

  • This is a classic Chopper flick!

Directed by the same guy that did Birds Of Prey in 72. They made a mistake the way Birds Of Prey ended.

If it ended differently this would have been the perfect sequel for sure!

  • whoever made this movie really loved helicopters

  • I think the landing skids from the Hughes are higher later in the Movie!

  • Wow search for a long time this fantastic "Helimovie" in germany it was called "Duell der Helikopter"!

  • @ka4172 Same here. The movie is a real classic and was shown not often in German TV. First presentation was in the mid-80s on the call in-show "ZDF-Wunschfilm". Later it was shown again on RTLII. The German title was "Treibjagdt in den Wolken".

  • I remember what happe

  • I knew his sister who worked at Douglas but I did not know he had a son

  • I met him when he was doing a Coca-Cola commercial in Vegas. He also used to fly with a guy named Clay wright who owned a company called Hollywood Air force

  • So I met Larry

  • Sorry for the typos

  • I see that alot of you guys are lookig for copys of Deadly Encounter. I AM LARRY KIRSCH'S son and have no problem getting copys to anyone who wants one. You have to pay for shipping and handeling. I ANY BODY HAS QUESTIONS REGARDING LARRY, I wouldn't mind discussing my Pop with you guys. It's about time I found people who appreciate my Dad's work.

    Regards

  • Hey, check out Ebay- there is a seller from australia. There you can get an professional DVD-Release of this brilliant movie. Enjoy.

  • @Ingo30ab Thanks for that - so many have asked.

  • Godamnit I've been waiting for this bloody film to come out on DVD for what feels like my whole fricking life. I used to have a VHS copy taped from the TV but it's gone missing. What kind of world do we live in where I can go pretty much anywhere and buy a copy of Stallone's 'Driven' but not get this anywhere?

    Jeee susss. C'MON.

  • GUts and NUTS

  • Maybe they should've thrown the briefcase out. Give the bad guys a glimmer of hope of recovering the money. Then lose them while they actually stopped to land and find it.

  • I want this on DVD soooooooooooooo bad!

  • Thank you for taking the time to post this video on youtube.

I happen to be Larry Kirsch's son.

  • I never seen this movie but it seems like its a take off of "Birds of Prey" with David Jansen!

  • Full film Upload?

  • If ANY woman tossed out so much as a single dime, I'd have to help her get out and find it!!!!!

  • OMG. Public safety issues going on here 0:12,0:23 guy makes sign of the cross...unscripted i'm sure.Great piloting though.

  • Thanks for posting! Now I can show all my online friends what REAL helicopter flying is!

BTW, my DVD has Larry Hagman saying "Where the hell are those bums?" instead of 'bastards', and he just says "Hey!" instead of "Oh, shit" when they're shooting at him. Where'd you source this from?

  • @cljohnston108 - Sorry for the delay in answering. This version was screened in BRITAIN. It was listed as a TV MOVIE - which surprised me - as at one point, Susan Anspach gives us a quick flash of her BOOBS (which didn't HAPPEN, in Seventies US TV movies!)

Therefore, we must assume that British TV got given a copy of the film that had been INTENDED for THEATRICAL release - which perhaps, never happened. And further, if your DVD copy has been bowdlerised, maybe that copy is NO MORE.

  • @dwaynepipe59 Ahhhhh, that makes sense!

I once had a VHS copy of "Airwolf: The Movie" that had apparently been edited for theatrical release overseas. Jan Michael Vincent drops a major F-bomb in that one!

  • @cljohnston108 - LOL!

  • Thanks for posting the very best scenes from this movie.

  • Fascinating helicopter movie, which inspires me since the early 80s ;) Thanks to 80s belgien televion :-)

  • He was an amazing stunt pilot! He flew in magnum pi, airwolf, street hawk, birds of prey, blue thunder and several other movies and tv shows.
