veraceblk, that name sounds very familiar, and yes I so rememer the three pits, boy that was some grand old times. I'm sure you remember Roger from the clubhouse, we hustled a lot throughout the night.

dctroy1, I used to hustle at the clubhouse also.there were three pits in the clubhouse. the first one when you first came in, the second was at the front where the stage and dj was located, and the last one was on the small side. I truly missed the clubhouse. Do you remember Stefan from Richmond? I may have mispelled his name. holla back

Now THAT'S how you hustle!!! I don't know what this corny "Ballroom Hustle" BS is that I see others doing, including some sorry, so-called "'World Champions" I saw posted. THIS is how the dance is done. It's a shame you can only see the dance done this well at a World Championship competition, or at a party with a lot of old schoolers. You used to be able to see couples throwin' down like this at any club.

@7T9U8R You cant be further from the truth,they danced the hustle great. What i cant get past is the hand movement,especially from the guy. I do undertand its probably for balance or showmanship,but it was not neccesary,they wouldve looked good w/o it. THEY TAUGHT ME,AN OLD HUSTLE DANCER,A FEW THINGS. THEY DID VERY WELL INDEED. When they did the step that brang them close,i would have loved to see them hop into it & keep on, as if riding each other...,The hustle will live on as the hippest !!!

I have to agree, you raise you leg a bit too high, too often, but I think thats from training. She has skillls and has a right to use them. Thanks. Im so sad to hear that it faded in Detroit. You should be the one to bring it back ;-) I only recently got into hustle about two years ago come this Labor Day weekend.
