Sam, I don't know if you are aware but Hakuhodo does not cut their brush fibers. Each individual hair keeps it's natural taper from it's growth on the animal. Best part, they are cruelty free! Also, the Kokutan brush handles get suppler with use and the S100 series ferrules are made of 24 karat brass-rolled gold!... Fun FYI :)

Thank you for this video. For years I've only been using very cheap drugstore brushes which feel horrible on the skin and fall apart very quickly.

High end brushes are very expensive in Europe anyway, so when I compared the prices of the Hakuhodo brushes with MAC brushes I found that they were not that much more expensive.

Ordered a few Hakuhodo ones and can't wait to try them. With the Dollar being so weak, they are pretty reasonably priced. :)

I have to wear sunglasses all the time! Even when it's overcast. Plus they are extremely dark. My eyes are just complete rubbish as well most of the time my eyes just water ( and I mean really stream down my face ) unbearably. I love my hakuhodo brushes, I have the red series that also come in black. I have the powder brush, the blush brush, angled powder or countour brush and a couple eyeshadow brushes. The quality is unbelieveable! My clients just love the face brushes on thier skin. I have had these for over a year and they are still amazing.

I have very sensitive eyes too, and wear sunglasses even on overcast days. My opthamologist said that the genes that determine skin sensitivity to sun are related to those that determine eye sensitivity to the sun, so people with fair skin should not only wear sunscreen but also be wary of exposing their eyes to the sun.

Yes, it can also be affected by the colour of your eyes. Those from hotter climates tend to have darker eyes and skin for that reason.

I have dark circles as well and I find the lighter the look I do for my eyes, the less dark my circles seem to get by the end of the day. This would be good for me I think.

Smashbox is both Peta and Greenpeace approved. They do use animal hair BUT its only taken when animals are usually sheered just for comfort from tempatures etc... Thats why they have the peta bunny on their packaging :)

Those brushes are gorgeous, I love that they come in different colors versus standard black.

I may have to try those eye patches, I have the same problem. In sunlight my eyes will water so much I can't see, and have even had to pull over on the side of the road before.
