Vietnamese casualties were much greater than American, that is true. But the reason the United States is considered to have lost was because, even though we annihilated the communists, they wouldn't have stopped fighting until they were ALL dead. After 48,000 + American death's, friends and family back in the United States WANTED an end to it because people they loved were dying vastly. We pulled out, therefore we lost. Big deal, fuck communists and fuck democracy. Free will lives on.

it's a lesson for everyone, Vietnam has a strategic position in Asia (Southeast Asia), USA did not want communism spread all over Asia, US's option was to help the Southern Vietnam Goverment to fight against Communist North, Ho Chi Minh wanted to reunify Vietnam, did not want any foreign interference (everybody loves freedome and independence it's the same for the US), HCM was a good leader, Southern Vietnam Government was so corrupt that even with US's help, they were fucked.

The blame is on the US, because they lost the war to North Vietnam, and so they felt humiliated militarily. This was a punishment for North Vietnam government. The US's punishment to the government of Vietnam also affected the vietnamese people. the blame is obviously on the USA, if you disagreed with me, than I think you are just being ignorant.
