I think networks have forgotten that if you make something a celebration, the kids will come. That's what has been lost in the past decade or so. It's sad, really.
Cookie Jar TV SUCKS!! The '80s were the best! The early '90s (Fido Dido era) were pretty good, but when the mid-'90s Action Zone era came, that was the end for me.
CBS Saturday Mornings may have not been tops, but since 1979 they knew how to market with eye catching promos and ad bumpers. Notice that Rick Dees was a VO for CBS promos as well as the bumpers in the Starcade and Superstar eras??? The Superstar bumpers carried over into the 1984-85 and 85-86 seasons. While the promo bumpers were different.
and also, when this was out, CBS Daytime had The NEW $25,000 Pyramid w/TV Icon Dick Clark, Press Your Luck w/the late Peter Tomarken, The NEW Price is Right w/Bob Barker and Body Language w/Game Show Legend Tom Kennedy
and on CBS Primetime, they had The Dukes of Hazzard, Dallas, Knots Landing, Falcon Crest, Scarecrow & Mrs. King, Crazy Like a Fox, Kate & Allie, Newhart, The Jeffersons, Alice, Trapper John, M.D., Magnum, P.I., Murder She Wrote, AfterM*A*S*H, E/R, Simon & Simon and Airwolf
During the 84/85 Season was when CBS had The Bugs Bunny/Road Runner Show, Saturday Supercade, Shirt Tales, The Get Along Gang, Pole Position, Muppet Babies and Dungeons and Dragons
CBS was CLASSIC and now, CBS Saturday Mornings isn't like what it use to be
They need to bring back to Classic and stop with all the crappy shows they have today that don't mean anything
and I LOVE these graphics from Outer Space as well as the Music
@tnawcwvictoria Saturday Morning is too dam politically correct, and nobody gives a shit either, Real Talk; it ain't like it was when we was growing up!
I still remember these when I would watch CBS Saturday morning cartoons back in 1985. Hard to believe that's been over 25 years ago, seems like it was all but yesterday.
sadly i dont remember any of these, i dont think i ofifcally got into saturday mornings till1988, but i offically cant be for sure. I would be 1 durning this year.
@TheNostalgiaJunkie Very, very true. Sometimes when I watch these things, I swear I'm in the past for a split second. Nothing like awakening dormant memories.

I don't think there is one memory I haven't found on Youtube. Put enough of them together and you can re-live your past.
