  • Big Sur I love it!! nice vid!!

  • I live in Florida, and while we have beautiful beaches - nothing compares to those beautiful rocky cliffs out there at Big Sur. Breathtakingly BEAUTIFUL!

  • cant believe I was lucky to have lived here for ten years....after stumbling out of the horror of Viertnam. this is the most beautiful place in the world. if you get to see it savor it.

  • Oh yea I love it there I wish I would have never moved :-(

  • Excellent video montereyjohn. I live here in paradise also. Also for those who asked the song is "Seasons" by The Steve Miller Band, from their first album "Brave New World". The whole album is as good as this song. Steve would come down from SF and play in concerts quite a few times in the 70's in and around monterey. Great times.

  • Congratulations for the so peacefull moment at this vídeo... It's so great to see my side of the world by your hands... You have a so good eyes for photography... Could ever be better...

If you like stop by my favorites to see some of mine

    also amazing

You can get 99 dollar plane tix back to with Southwest

  • SF is a must, Ocean beach SF, golden gate park, bolinas maybe? Stinson beach, many nude beaches too lol. then take the one down to like carmel like she said. the 101 is not as scenic but much faster FYI. Big sur is the place to go. THen u can check out long beach LA or somerhing, but you MUST UST MUST Stop in oceanside like she said. Itll give you a top off of the trip when you feel like your in a postcard or paradise.

  • Henry Miller's "Big Sur and the Oranges of Hieronymous Bosch" and a spectacular blonde whom I married brought me to Big Sur. I scoured the hills looking for Miller's home on Partington Ridge but never found it...or him. Still the magic prevailed and I moved to Los Gatos and kept returning to Palo Colorado canyon and the old Coast Highway up in the hills. I lved to imagine Miller there with Varda and Emil White but realized I'd have to create my own magic in my time on Earth.

    Thanks! Jerry

  • Thanks for the photos. Now I can't wait to be there. This summer I'm going to America.

    Greetings from a dutch America-fan

  • Thanks for this wonderful video! I spent 2 tours at the Presidio and fell in love with the area. Can now show my son what the other side of "The Pond" looks like. I love Carmel-by-the Sea!

  • I believe the song is "As the Wind Blows" by Steve Miller.

  • who knows this beautiful song?

  • i live there!

  • Haven't been there for a while... Beautiful. Wish I were there..

  • big sur

    FOREVER!

  • was just there in may.

    it was so amazing

    would love to go back!

  • Great video! Here's what my website has to say about Big Sur: "The most spectacular stretch of coastline in all California has drawn artists, mystics, and writers like Henry Miller and Hunter S. Thompson to Big Sur, where towering cliffs rise straight from the surf. Unlike neighboring Carmel, where the bourgeoisie long ago edged out the hippie freaks, here the boho spirit is alive and well." The rest of our write-up is 71Miles dot com

  • Wonderful photos. Many years ago I spent a homeless summer living in my car along the side of the road of HWY 1, occasionally in the parking lot of the Safeway in Carmel. I took a computer class at Monterey Peninsula College and spent days in the library there and showered in the gym in the coldest water I ever felt. Fond memories, though, because there's no more beautiful place on earth.

  • Some very nice shots but what's with the repeated close ups of the concrete bridge?

  • Big Sur...the place of my dreams!

    Thanks for sharing!
