I do not remember Johnny acknowledging Caroline as the girl that was singing in the bath house. I was waiting for Johnny to remember her voice once Caroline started singing again on the trip to CA but I do not remember him making that connection. It would have been a nice moment to throw in while they were falling in love.
In Deanna's case, he should just be glad that the crowd's as small as it is.
