  • older music, always tells a story, plus a damn good beat. NOW its yelling, overpowered by the music.

  • This came out when I was 11, loved it then, love it now!

  • Jim Horn is playing sax on this record. Darlene Love is rockin' on the ending. It was produced by Lee Hazlewood.

  • This and Dance with the Guitar Man remind me of such lovely days in my early teens pre Beatles explosion 62/63. Bought this one and always loved it.

  • The Blossoms are fantastic on this, Darlene , Fanita and Gracia!

Even though they are using the name "The Rebelettes" on this I still think the Blossoms are fantastic.

Love Darlene's vocals at the end, she is just awesome!

These girls where just the best!

If you want to know about the recordings with Duane and the Blossoms I recommend you buy a certain CD on Amazon which features rare songs by the Darlene and the Blossoms and in the booklet Darlene talks about these sessions!

  • Duane Eddy has been a favorite of mine since his first tune hit the charts, and you all know how long ago that was. It is so terrific to hear them again. I still have all the original LPs.

  • Two thumbs up for big old Duane, especially Boss Guitar and Guitar Man. They take me back to them ole 60's again...Thanks

  • any one have MY BONNIE CAME BACK by DUANE EDDY?lou

  • Yes I have this on a single, it tends to be one of those that people forget along with 2 others by duane namely Caravan Parts 1 & 2 (Decca?) and Theme for Moonchildren (Reprise?) also an album which is rarely spoken of is Water Skiing which is a shame as its a gr8 album, I am wondering if maybe that title changed to the Surfing album.? Hope thats of some interest to Duane fans.Good luck to you all.

  • I have searched for this track for many years and had decided I had dreamed it - and today - I listened to it for the first time in maybe 45 years - still fresh! Thanks so much.

  • I am one of Duane Eddy's distant cousins...and, not unlike himself, I was raised in Corning, NY.... P.S. it's not a joke! It's true...

  • Yeah, but HE was the smart one; and moved out West. I bet he hates the rain, and probably isn't crazy about life in the big city. Pretty laid back guy. King of Twang... for sure

I grew up liostening to his stuff Hey Duane is a living legend. I hope he is with us for at least another 20 years

  • This song and Peter Gunn was one of his best!

  • Simply Awesome!

  • he sure does~

  • Fantastic! Great job by you and your band Duane! Thanks for sharing.

I wish we could get his version of Ring of Fire from the 1961 movie of the same name that starred David Janssen. Another great one in that movie was when Duane played Bobbie. I wish we could get them on youtube. Both of them were played in the first ten minutes of the movie. A great start for that movie indeed!

    You go Duane!

  • Duane Eddy was "The Boss Guitar Man" when I was in the third grade, fifty years ago. I think that perhaps Dick Dale possibly was influenced Duane Eddy is more likely than Eddy pulling off a parody to Dale.

  • Is this song some kind of a parody to Dick Dale's - Listen to the king of the surf guitar?

  • I always loved all of his songs and this was a great one.

  • it is Duane Eddy... can't be anything bad about his music... IT'S ALL GOOD !!!!!

  • the lyrics make it that much better! what are you talking about!

  • It's all good

  • I think the vocals ruined it!

  • Women just wanna focus on the words. Music is too much for em'.

  • One of my favorites from DE.

  • Don't leave out the Rebelettes (Darlene Love and the Blossoms)

  • darlene love sang on this dance with the guitar man and in my room by the beach boys

wasnt there a picture of duane giving annette a guitar lesson on one of his albums

  • @spacepatrolman The CD is Called...Girls! Girls! Girls! and is about to be released again. Check the Internet for pre-order of it. Duane Eddy, also has an all new CD that is due for release soon. It is called "Artifacts Of Twang" and has Brian Setzer and Phil Everly on it,
