Both combined own about 85% of the stationary concentrator business in the market and I will have to believe that based on the history of these machines, the Invacare one will last a little longer. Probably getting over 35,000 hours is not unheard of with the Invacare machine but we do not have the history of the newer model versus the old Invacare Platinum.
@GoSouthernMD1 not have to be touched via having an internal filter but the Invacare machine you will need to take out the filter and wash it out which will take a few minutes. The Invacare Perfecto has added the Whisper to combat the quietness of the Q which is almost identical in the sound or Decibel level. Invacare has been known for years as the machine that isn't the prettiest but it is the most durable and longest lasting. To answer your question, you cannot go wrong with either one.
This is a GREAT comment/question and I am glad it was asked. The reason why is there is a reason why the big publicly traded National Companies like Lincare and Apria for insurance purposes and costs use only these 2 machines. This is because of the proven record that they both have out in the field. What I can promise you based on thousands that we have out there is you are guaranteed a 20,000 hour chance at 99.999% that nothing will happen to your machine. The main difference is the Q
