  • Hey it,s PETROCIELLI ,Does anyone know if he,s finished his house yet.

  • Wikipedia say's:

Whilst recording the score, Budd was influenced by Ronnie Scott and Tubby Hayes thus giving the music a jazz-sounding theme. Scott played the saxophone for the car chase sequence, which took place alongside the Mississippi River. According to Tuchner, "the sequence needed to be recorded in a continuous ten-minute plus take, whilst hitting split-second action cues so as to blend perfectly with the chase sound effects. Budd and his orchestra achieved this in just two takes".

  • @60march Wow, thanks for that. Pity they didn't credit Ronnie (or maybe I missed it - but I always CHECK music credits) for the solo work.

Anecdotally, I MET the late, great Roy Budd (he was a celebrity fare I had, when chauffeuring). It was after this - but before he scored "Who Dares Wins" - but mostly we spoke about Chris Karan and the late Pete McGurk.

I have Tubby's incredible music from "Crescendo" on YouTube - check THAT out!

  • Thanks for this. Can you upload the whole movie?

  • Back when i was a child the roads were made of wood! and we were grateful to have them.

    LOL....:D

  • HE POPPED THE TIRE ON THAT 180

  • This is why you don't see car chases like this today, I can't see Kawalski pulling this off in a prius!

  • did anyone notice the lens crack at like 1:01

  • Coincidentially, this video is 13:20 long. 1,320....

  • Every chase needs a fruit and veg moment!

Great score by Roy Budd who's music was a plus point for every film he did.

  • Barry newman can really drive a car, or should i say Kawalski !!!

  • That poor Torino!

  • @N734NJ I like the way that, early in the sequence, the chassis gets bent on a landing - but it DOESN'T "miraculously" straighten out in the next shot!

  • @HoldenMcGroyne81 I like that they did not pull one of those continuity errors.

  • one of the BEST ive ever seen!!!!!

  • THIS IS MY HOME TOWN IN NAPOLEONVILLE WHERE THE CHASE STARTED. I WAS 5Y/O IN 73...LOL

  • I have a Ranchero the same year, and its a beast. A new car today couldn't take this abuse

  • @ 1:06 he broke the camera LOL!

  • What kind of moron leaves the windows open and the keys in the ignition of a Torino GT?

  • @paktype Later in the film, it's explained that the "conveniently available" car was SET UP to be that way.

  • Damn it lady, you don't get it, I work for Domino's and when we say 15 minutes or less, we mean 15 minutes or less!

  • @DEP717 LOL!!

  • @DEP717 Good line!

  • He's gong to need a lawyer after what he did to the cop cars.

    Best call in Petrocelli !!!

  • One of the best car chases ever after Bullit. Courageous Barry Newman and beautiful Suzy Kendall. And what a solid car ! 72" Ford Torino. / Muscle /

  • Thanks for uploading. One of my all-time favourite car chases!

  • Great scene, a 70's classic

  • '72 was the best year for the torino, looks wise
