hurricane barriers do exist in this area but it is not a guarantee of safety...of course, hurricane warnings and speedy evaluation do now save lives.

Watch Hill is changing faster now than probably ever in it's history. Its unfortunate. Watch Hill Inn is gone. Ocean House Gone. Fiore's Market Gone. Nancy's Fishmearket Gone. Condos and duller rich people, In.

I think it is because people discovered it but I hope my video still reflects the Old Watch Hill of my childhood memories. I could see the building going on but still enjoyed showing it to my husband.

Duller rich people? Maybe... but the natives still know how to have fun.

we cant expect things to last forever but maybe if someone started a watch hill historical society we could change things?  I am a native rhode islander myself :)
