i haven't seen this in a while i was like, shit, she dies? ok nevermind her eye moves, so i guess it's up to interpretation if she's ok or if she can't make it? xD
@wblstudios The lack of auspiciousness in your feeble existence and your dogmatic conformism towards preclusive social pragmatism leads me to believe that the use of sentences written grammatically within the parameters of cultural norms tend to have the author of the fragment, erroneously, concluded by you to be an educated individual and therefore able to integrate into the semi-anarchic society of the Internet. Those are all fallacies, young one.
@YaiBugy Nope. You're obviously dumb because you obviously cut and pasted that previous comment, because you continue your ingrammatical ways in the latter comment. And if you can't even think of your own insults, that makes you the dumbest of them all.
@wblstudios Haha, copied and pasted? You were that impressed? god, people these days.. thanks if you thought it was that complex for you, but really, it's just words. they dont make you dumb, you know what does? not getting the end of inception, or sopranos, or evangelion. and, also, stating 'I win, Check and Mate'. im done here, scum, go troll somewhere else.
@TidusAbes why he liked her and the vibe he was getting was that she hated him and you can rarely truely hate someone unless you once loved them and that caress reveled her true emotions so he felt disgusted with himself and broke down and cried
They should have shown more than two people returning at once. That way, people wouldn't get the wrong idea about the ending, thinking that shinji is an a-hole for killing everyone in existance on account of his insecurities, except for Asuka who still was acting like a bitch. Lol
lol, this part is a masterpiece, the whole eva is a master piece.... is just that, i am srry ppl who watch it in english dub because it killed it. The last word that asuka said has a lot of meaning and feeling...
it's just like pink floyd's 1979 album 'The Wall': the end of one cycle of suffering, starts another...and asuka is trying to break this cycle-thus, humanity, who created this cycle...are disgusting...""Kimochi warui"
People think that Shinji and Asuka are the only two left on the planet. They're just the first two to reform. Yui tells Shinji at the end that everyone can reform themselves from the sea of LCL i they can envision themselves again. Shinji and Asuka were just the first to return. Everyone else comes back, it's just not shown
I think the ending was great. It leaves so much questions open and that's why EoE is worth of watching many times, over and over again. And you still find some new things and understand something you didn't understand last time.
And all these emotional, strange and psychotic scenes are just charms of Evangelion. Weird ending is one of those Evangelion-charms. And I love them 'cos that's Evangelion.
There are 4 posibilities: 1. Everyone can come back, Shinji & Asuka just were the first ones. Everyone's still going through their own private mindfuck, but everyone we saw during the giant mindfuck and turned into soup (that means Misato too) is going to return. 2. Everyone CAN return, but only Shinji and Asuka wanted to.3. Everyone's Dead, Shinji and Asuka are the New Adam and Eve. 4. That's not even the real Asuka....
Well guys, I'm planning on making a continuation of this story in a fan film. I need some voice actors, I need at least voice cast members. At least 2 female voices needed for this one. This isn't for money or anything, but for rather fame and a proper ending to End Of Evangelion as it should have been.I designed the EVA unit 5 incase anybody wants to see. I created a hi resolution design sheet. All voice actors,3D graphics specialists, and sound experts come forth and we'll discuss our project.
in the beggining of the movie, there's asuka all strapped down on bandages, and shinji by he side, shinjji tries to wake her up, and unintentionally makes her boobs come visible...
then, he starts to masturbate while watching her boobs, but asuka somehow knows it later, or in the moment, don't wuite remember...
and when everyone disappears they are left alone...
how would anyone feel if they were stuck alone in the planet with only a guy
Theres are very popular theory about what was shown that i believe. During Shinji's internal conflict, Asuka tells him that he's not worth anything, he chokes her right after. When he sees her on the beach he chokes her for real. When she touches his face he realizes that he is wanted and is worth something which causes him to cry. The actual translation for the last line was "I feel sick". This probably means that Asuka did like Shinji and she just realized what rejecting him did to him.
@GOODPLAYA20 theres more then one translation to the line. it can mean both "i feel sick" and "how disgusting"and a variety of other translation. you can also interpret the english line however you want, theres no reason to think that the line was directed about shinji. there is more then one meanig to the english and japanese ending, it all depends on how you view it that decides it's meaning
You're an idiot. And the fact that alot of people actually believe that the world is ending in the year 2012, means that alot of people don't read, nor know what they are talking about.
The End of Evangelion is a home to so much mysteries... and of course this part is one of the best, not to mention the part when Gendo said a muted sentence before shooting Ritsuko...
Asuka did not appear immediately after Shinji's rejection of Instrumentality. As you can see, Shinji is kind of surprised when he saw Asuka - in fact, he first see the floating Rei before noticing Asuka was beside him.
Asuka has a strong will to live and that's whys she's the first to materialise :)
It's not entirely sad. All of humanity has the chance to come back and Shinji and Asuka were simply the first to come back. Of course I wish they weren't left in such a pitiful state.
yeah, but what about the planet(earth), i mean it's all destroyed and sooo fucked up, why the others didnt come back? because all of them are sad people and want to stay in lcl complementary state?
I have a love/hate relationship with the end of the End of Evangelion. It was depressing and sort of frustrating, yet somehow satisfying. Yeah, I don't even know what I'm talking about anymore.
"In the sea of LCL, Shinji wished for a world with other people. He desired to meet them again, even if it meant he would be hurt and betrayed. And just as he had hoped / wanted, Asuka was present in the new world. Only Asuka was there beside him. The girl whom he had hurt, and who had been hurt by him. But even so, she was the one he had hoped/wished for...."

yea you're right i just read it from wiki.. its amazing how sick this anime is in many levels.... it pokes at a lot of really sensitive aspects of a human being... also shinji doesnt have the qualities of a protagonist.. its so sad... which makes the anime even more interesting and intriguing... oh jesus.. this anime is awesome..
yea man the depressing mood is appealing for some reason.. i cant wait for the live action movie.. i hope it turns out to be better than the anime itself but i highly doubt it
@DalamarM I was under the impression that the Human Instrumentality Project had been completed and the world had recieved it's next apocalypse when Rei was merged with Adam in Terminal Dogma... @bradleyman13 thought of 2 ideas on asuka's reply. either asuka was or felt "disgusted (or sick in jap dub)" because she was disgusted (or sick) of seeing shinji crying on her breasts (like when shinji masturbated on seeing asuka's unconscious body, but asuka said that). or was disgusted (or sick) on how shinji fell apart on shinji seeing or realizing that she is not the asuka from shinji's mind. what do you think of these ideas? I cant come to think that they can become theories.
@Anoblefly Also, Anno has explicitly stated himself that the religious references are purely for namesake, and there is no actual tie to christianity and its beliefs in the series.
Either I could be wrong of my information could be out of place, but Asuka, who was in that giant sea of LCL before, had the will to become in individual being again and thus risen from the LCL.

Again, I like the series ending better because Shinji found the answer to his problems and everybody survives even Kaji.

@DalamarM I was under the impression that the Human Instrumentality Project had been completed and the world had recieved it's next apocalypse when Rei was merged with Adam in Terminal Dogma...
