As a singer and touring performer. Opening act, 2 shows a night B/S The 2 songs that were the hardest for me to perform were HURT by Ms Yuro and Bridge Over Troubled Waters by S and G. With Hurt you had to come in on the note Cold. Hard to do. Bridge you had to reach a crescendo. Both hard to do. Elvis covered both of these songs. But, I love Elvis, but he didn t do them as well. ;o; And people, neither did I.

Without doubt, Timi Yuro's recording of "Hurt" is one of the few songs that once it is heard, is never forgotten. When this song was first released, my identical, twin brother and I played the record continuously until it was worn out. Like Timi, he was taken from this world much too soon, and although it will always 'hurt' that they are gone, her voice, even in its hauntingly painful manner, strengthens me and retrieves memories from the past that were long gone. My sincere thanks for the post.
