@mateusaugusto11ify Eu cheguei a grvar a versão dele, mas faltou falar de um aspeto que eu gostaria e não tive tempo, então vou gravar tudo de novo e posto ele em breve, ok? Valeu brother!
When the first video in the series started I got a kick out of you wearing FAB camo. I have always liked that pattern after having several students use it in the bush. I need to git me one of them.
@Colhane I got to admit it´s a good patern bro and it´s beautiful too! But if I was looking for total concealment, I´d go Brazilian Marine or army! I´ll try to get you one!
@Colhane Is there any risk to wearing camo as civilians, in your region? As a traveller coming from way outside we are always led to belive there is... but you guys seem relaxed about it and havent had any problems I know of...
@xXxCatsnakexXx The only restriction we have is wearing a full set of Brazilian military camo. You can wear the top or bottomof the Brazilian camo but not both at the same time. Other patterns have no restrictions though I tend not to wear a full set of BDU's if I'm in a populated area. My normal is solid pants and a camo top or all OD green.
@Colhane Thanks Mac. If you were in other parts of South America would you see a risk to dressing in this way -or do you think this message is overblown to travelers?
@xXxCatsnakexXx Ive been to Bolivia and they use the old woodland pattern there and it maches their landscape really well. And that cmo is really popular among their kids and people and I saw alot of them at several ages wearing bdu pants, jackets and caps everywhere. I dont know if a traveller from broad would have any problems, but Id avoid wearing the whole bdu set altogether. I guess a jacket or a pair of bdu pants would be ok separetaly.
The night is a more dark purple color, black stands out at night. In medieval Japan the Shinobi used this knowledge. In addition, when on patrol if you think you see something squat down and you get a clearer view not sure why but i was told it as a kid and I have tried it. But greens and browns work well to especially when dirty. But camouflage is more than visual. There noise discipline and then there is the effect of looking right at your intended target. Don't look directly at them
When hiding in shadows the black will be darker than the shadows making it stick out more. If I understand right the real ninjas of Japan usually wore a dark maroon.
@72Ditch I once noticed that when I was all in traditional deep blue jeans, It ´d be more difficult to spot me than my buddies who wore black, and many times I could actually see a real dark shape standing in the dark! You are right buddy! Thanks for the comments
I'm not sure about those BDU's... maybe because blue is a natural color in nature and dark black is not. As someone said, dark blue at night is better than black for camoflauge, in low light black can reflect light.
@xXxCatsnakexXx ActuallyI think Im gonna make one. Having one tailored for me should fit my needs better and I already gotta a good Idea of what I want.
I am always tickled when people vid their 10 piece kit and they show (made up example) their canteen, canteen cup, canteen pouch, purification tablets, and add the comment, "I count this as one". Also clothes and shoes seem to be exempt from the numbered items. I understand that they are speaking more about catagories than items and trying to set priorities for carry. You are correct when you say to go out, try it, and find out what you need. That's why I quit carrying and anvil. Lol
I spent 25 yrs in the US Army (Infantry), retired in 2007. I remember seeing the USAF guys with blue camo in the 90's and after. I never knew why. I used to joke it was for the sky. But your camo blends in good on the camera.
@1sgbrewer Thank you sarge! Thats funny cause although Ive never been in the military, my friends and I would joke the same thing about FAB (BAF) Braz. air force camo as it is a natural association with the sky! But you are right, it does blend that area well, specially under lower light conditions as you can see at various moments during the 2 parts of this series. Again, thank you and I appreciate your comments my friend!

@xXxCatsnakexXx I can't really speak for the rest of South America, I only live in Brazil. All those countries get to make up their own rules.

Thanks for these two vids.
Notice the blue sky speckles filtering through the background foliage?
To my eyes, a lighter shade of blue may be even more effective in the same terrain at ground level or viewed from lower elevation.

I never limit myself to a numbered piece kit, I always carry what I know is best for me. Good videos Giuliano!

A dark blue is harder to see in low light conditions than is black. Try it sometime.

On camera you blend in really good.I am also looking to buy some type of light, low priced jungle hammock.I am interested in seeing what you chose.

I wouldn't mind seeing a 5 pound kit, a 10 pound kit, a 15 pound and so forth. Weight sets the limit for a lot of people.
