You have watched to many Jesse interviews, you should just like him ha. Political parties should be irrelevant factor in deciding to vote for someone. It would be fruitless for Paul to run as a 3rd party because they would not have the Ross Perot type financing to be able to get into the national debates, nor would they be able to get on every single ballot in all 50 states. Not to mention, Jesse would bring a damn firestorm of controversy in the media, I doubt Paul wants that.

Respond to this video... the fed and budget deficit or more complicated issues. i'm not in support of either theoretically but in practice and with the society we have you cannot just do away with either. i do not see how the economy we have can function without the fed as lender of last resort. the result would be stagnation, no growth, unemployment.
Respond to this video... on the budget, it depends on what is being cut. in a reccesion govts need to spend and social austerity has awful consequences for the lives of people. jobs need to be created. people are suffering. cuts on social spending would be disastrous. obviously the whole thing needs fixing but the problem is capitalism in my view. that is the root and simply ending certain programs will not help in the interim. they need to be part of a larger structural economic adjustment.

@mindthreat44 ending the deficit is very easy. in the short term the deficit is caused by the recession. to get out of a recession you spend. so do that, they haven't. the stimulus was tiny and worthless. in the long term? fix the health care system. if we went to a system like canada or euro we would have a healthy surplus.
Proof? Economies have survived through spending (and bubbles) since the 1930s. WW2 ended the depression and we have not stopped spending since so to avoid stagnation.
Respond to this video... The bubble bursting caused the massive deficit in the short term and the recession which is simply a problem of lost demand. The demand needs to be restored. We have the tools to do this and there is no reason to cling to a free market ideology that would not and has not worked ever anyway. Again spending itself is not the problem. The inefficient, costly healthcare system -as result of pharma prices- is. Correct that and the ship sails smoothly. Don't hurt people.

@mindthreat44 there is a long lengthy body of work that covers this. Stagnation has been a central topic of economics since Keynes. Surplus Value goes back to Marx. The theories seem to carry weight for the reasons I have mentioned above. When capitalist economies mature they have problems maintaining bus. investment and they stagnate. Unemployment rises (as it has been steadly for 50-60 yrs). The only time the trend reverses is on the back of speculative bubbles.

There is simply too much Government power concentrated in D.C. within easy reach of lobbying firms. Spread it out...make it harder. Watching this 2007 poll in 2011, isn't it interesting to note that Ron Paul came in FIRST in Fox's poll (34%) and John McCain came in last (5%). Yet look who won the nomination (but lost the election, but that's a whole 'nother story)...
If Paul would leave the Republican party and run as an Independent, he would have my vote. Especially if his running mate was Jesse Ventura!
Paul/Ventura or Ventura/Paul in 2012! Otherwise, I'm voting for "none of the above..."

You have watched to many Jesse interviews, you should just like him ha. Political parties should be irrelevant factor in deciding to vote for someone. It would be fruitless for Paul to run as a 3rd party because they would not have the Ross Perot type financing to be able to get into the national debates, nor would they be able to get on every single ballot in all 50 states. Not to mention, Jesse would bring a damn firestorm of controversy in the media, I doubt Paul wants that.

@rmccay88 McCay -- I know you're right but a girl can dream! I actually think Jesse would be more effective in his current role than as an elected official, especially VP. And he wouldn't run with Ron Paul unless Paul left the Republican party, which he probably won't do because of the reasons that you state.
So my comments came out of just wanting to see someone elected that has the perspective and passion and integrity that Ron Paul and Jesse Ventura seem to ME to have, that's all...

@mindthreat44 being a strict constitutionalist is not intrinsically good.... it is an issue like any other. i like the civil liberties and his foreign policy. i actually said that right wing libertarianism is nuts. not ron paul. and to be clear i meant free market capitalism. there is no basis for it and i do not see how it could work. there are many reasons.

Respond to this video... the fed and budget deficit or more complicated issues. i'm not in support of either theoretically but in practice and with the society we have you cannot just do away with either. i do not see how the economy we have can function without the fed as lender of last resort. the result would be stagnation, no growth, unemployment.

Respond to this video... on the budget, it depends on what is being cut. in a reccesion govts need to spend and social austerity has awful consequences for the lives of people. jobs need to be created. people are suffering. cuts on social spending would be disastrous. obviously the whole thing needs fixing but the problem is capitalism in my view. that is the root and simply ending certain programs will not help in the interim. they need to be part of a larger structural economic adjustment.

Fix debt with more debt? Yeah that makes a lot of sense. And what proof is there that gov't has to spend during a recession?

@mindthreat44 ending the deficit is very easy. in the short term the deficit is caused by the recession. to get out of a recession you spend. so do that, they haven't. the stimulus was tiny and worthless. in the long term? fix the health care system. if we went to a system like canada or euro we would have a healthy surplus.
Proof? Economies have survived through spending (and bubbles) since the 1930s. WW2 ended the depression and we have not stopped spending since so to avoid stagnation.

Respond to this video... The bubble bursting caused the massive deficit in the short term and the recession which is simply a problem of lost demand. The demand needs to be restored. We have the tools to do this and there is no reason to cling to a free market ideology that would not and has not worked ever anyway. Again spending itself is not the problem. The inefficient, costly healthcare system -as result of pharma prices- is. Correct that and the ship sails smoothly. Don't hurt people.

@mcshobe2008 And yeah if we stop all this big gov't spending there's gonna be some rough times, but no matter if we stop it now or when the whole thing goes bankrupt it's gonna be hard. The only difference is we can either stop now and make it easier on everyone or just let the spending continue and dig a bigger hole for ourselves. Gov't spending is the problem, not capitalism. And where's your proof that capitalism is the problem? You state that it's the problem but don't back it up?

@mindthreat44 there is a long lengthy body of work that covers this. Stagnation has been a central topic of economics since Keynes. Surplus Value goes back to Marx. The theories seem to carry weight for the reasons I have mentioned above. When capitalist economies mature they have problems maintaining bus. investment and they stagnate. Unemployment rises (as it has been steadly for 50-60 yrs). The only time the trend reverses is on the back of speculative bubbles.

@ghana21 Secret societies are real and even if the people were to wake up and vote for people like Ron Paul the puppets will continue to be put in place by the puppet masters. It is not only the presidents chosen who are puppets but many of our politicians are puppets under the control and influence of the much more powerful secret societies. Today there is no true right or left. Blood must be spilled. It is the only way to get our country back. When it happens is anybodies guess.
