Tauruas is now at cardrona adventure park which is in new zealand were you can drive the truck on a offroad course and you get to jump it at the end. Terror trip is also at the same place but not sure if you can drive that one.
That old school bus is based out of Lancelin (spelling?) near Perth. We were booked in to take a ride on it in mid 2005 but 10 minutes before we got there the big truck broke down. Talk about bad luck!
Although I haven't seen RealTV, Taurus did indeed rollover at Parramatta, where it subsequently caught fire. Driver, Steve Butler, was pulled from the truck uninjured.
Nobody was reported as injured from the Terror Trip crash.
The first and second generation Monster Trucks looked far better than the ones we see today. The trucks we have in Australia today are pathetic

The truck was called the Bigfoot Bus, but due to copyright issues the name was soon changed to Desert Storm.

do you know what happen to aussie battler?
gmtgmt123 4 years ago
Aussie Battler was scrapped, and parts of it were used to build another truck called Flying Falcon.
GotAMT 4 years ago
the flying falcon is ugly sorry the aussie battler was so nice
gmtgmt123 4 years ago
the flying falcon was built in the late 80s to90s by ed mulligan and was owned by ed mulligan and then sold to Vick and Steve Buttler in the 90s.
Also taurus was rolled in sydney by Steve Buttler at Parramatta city raceway
nissanbig1 4 years ago
Tin Obrien Worked for ed mulligan, ed got tim to build it.

The very last part where the weird looking truck is on the back wheels, right at the end, looks like Natex Canberra where they hold Summernats.

Pretty good guess, but it's actually the Brisbane Exhibition Grounds back in January 2002.

Awesome video, very well done! It's great to see how the monster trucks run down in Australia. I've got two questions about the video, though...
The Taurus flip at 2:30, was that the roll that was televised on RealTV, where the engine caught fire?
Also, was anyone injured in that accident with the Terror Trip truck at 2:40, where the tire went into the grandstands?
DiggerFanJSB 4 years ago
