Does that mean it's off or something? How do I fix this and make it turn "red" again.... I need help....

hi, i bought a laptop at bestbuy with 6 months free anti-virus(trend micro titanuim) it also came with a disc, can i use that after my 6 months is over? because the program was already installed but i have a disc aside from that.

Okay.. for any spyware, ad poppers, spams use RKILL to stop all so you can work on getting rid of shit on your computer from the internet you use.

It wont get rid of the viruses it only helps you stop the programs from running so you can research online to get rid of the programs, or use your anti spyware program. First thing will pop up is a black small screen, let it do its work and then your computer will work so you can use net to get rid of the viruses. :)

Trend Sucks its a cpu hog, and it never find viruses and when it does it doesnt delete them i have like 20 severe viruses in quarintine but i just deleted them with spybot

Trend micro is a failure, last year my friend over the road asked me to come see why his computer was so slow, well he had trend micro, "All clean, your system is secure" etc, yet there was pop-ups from ie constantly, his desktop background was flashing, tons of random shortcuts on his desktop, and even spylock and a few hijackers on there.

Well, First i ran spybot, 300+ detected and removed, some it couldn't remove so I put avast on it, boot scan found.. 973 viruses moved to chest. Trend sucks.

Sorry to break the news but...Trend micro sucks. And i will give you one example:

My friend was about to download the game F.E.A.R Combat and found out that the exe file contained a trojan horse!!! WTF?? And then he never wanna download it. As a person said below: Trend micro cannot stop a rogue! I recommend ESET Smart Security 4 or Kaspersky Internet security 2010.

I would not recommend this to anyone. I've used it, and it never caught any of the fake AV viruses. I put it through the test, and it caught 0 of the different varients aout there. I manually deleted these. I also emailed TM, and gave them all info needed, and they told me that the reason they couldn't block this is due to files that resembled system files. Shouldn't AV suite be good enough to know the difference? YES. It caught 1 file, which was a MP3 file created by me, and was not a virus.

I use AVG Free, never had a problem in years, kept it updated and the MS updates also. Although a paid piece of software such as Trend would provide more area's or protection such as Identity protection and malware etc.
