I used to listen to this on the way to school. School was 12 minutes' driving away. If I started the song right after I started the engine, it would usually end right as I was pulling into a parking lot.
Boris draws a lot of inspiration from 70's rock, and so it makes sense that some of their songs would sound similar to songs or riffs that were popular in the seventies. Not a cover, just influenced by. Not to mention all the seventies rock bands drew inspiration from old blues musicians, which is why it all kind of sounds the same-ish. Rock and Roll motherfucker!

Seriously, give it another listen. Listen to the bass line in particular, it's identical.
