  • this kind of hymn is called "Wereb" it was first founded by an Ethiopian saint called Kidus Yared. they are basically saying " All the world's redemption/ salvation /savior was born today". they start out singing slowly then goes alittle bit faster. this is a mezmur for christmas.

  • love your vidz.. !! good work Bless

  • woah the intro sounds scary

  • Impressive! I always wondered why such a primitive instrument like the sistrum is so important in ethiopian church music. Now I know! Together with the drum they are a very dignified accompaniment to the chanting. Thanks for posting this! :-))

  • Love to hear Jesus name praised by different languages and cultures!

AMEN! Bless you all and PEACE of Jesus!

  • amen.

  • O vídeo é muito bom e tomara que todos os povos possam louvar Deus da maneira que suas mentes possam entendê-Lo. Torço para que os preconceitos sejam banidos e todos nós percebamos que Deus é um só.

  • I like these songs. The only comment of improvement I suggest is that the singers synchronize their voice. I know this is considered normal in our church but I think it is unfortunate. One of the deacons leads then he falls back and follows another. The end result is too much noise, where there should not be. A much better way to sing would be to have everybody synchronized, that would lead to angelic songs.

    In Christ,

    Tsega_Ze_Ab

  • Ethiopean christianity is 2000 year old- way before Christianity came to western countries. The name of Lord Jesus is sweet in any language on earth.

  • @sherpriya Yes I :),because Christ (Hristos.Horus) its a title,a symbol, not a name, and more then that, its actually a Cosmic Principle, the 2nd Logos of the Universal Principle (God) and it manifest Itself in the love of all living things,in the Higher Self of a person,so ethiopians were praising this Principle way back before His incarnation on earth,it was :).Jesus is the name of the man in which this Principle was incarnated here on earth,so i say for that ,love youself, live and let live! :)

  • @bajoentucara

What do you mean by it all, please? I don't understand.

    Let me understand.

May He strengthen us in His church. There should not be any division.

  • You've never done anything as awesome as click on YOUTUBE twice..and watch this at the same time as the SAME one's playing..delayed

  • may GOD bless Ethiopia and its people and the keep saving the truth religion from western lutherans and protestants.

  • I like about this..how the Ethiopian people seem to sing from the very DEPTHS of..who they ARE..in their personal..as well as spiritual life.. You know..life in Christianity..there is great great GREAT seperation from..your personal hopes and dreams from the stern RULES of what God says is the rules..and that's not GOOD..

  • my God!!! Thankyou for this blessing. One reason to love this word!

  • It's great to see Yaredawi Zema.
