I wish we played this beautiful music like A-ha in America, all i hear on the radio is rap, songs that are no good, and the songs usually either have to do with sex or drugs.A-ha is an amazing band that makes true music.every one and every part of their songs are amazingly crafted by them.
ES CURIOSO COMO EN CUALQUIER OTRO GRUPO ESTA CANCIÓN PERFECTA SERIA EL GRAN EXITO DE SU VIDA ARTISTICA, Y COMO EN ESTOS CHICOS SOLO FUE UN EXITO MAS.. ESO HABLA DEL PODEROSO TALENTO QUE EMANABAN JUNTOS... Y QUE A ALGUNOS SE NOS OLVIDA A VECES AL CONTEMPLAR LA HERMOSA CARA DE MORTY...
The North American music industry sucks. It's just likes churning out the same kind of garbage they want people to hear. Justin Bieber is very talented but he's a little douche because he makes the Mickey Mouse kind of music that makes little girls pee in their undies for. We don't hear music like A-ha since WMG is too busy trying to put out music that is suitable for tweens and teens.
Why on earth would young girls btw the ages of 10 - 25 be raving for men who are old enough to be their fathers? Music is not just about being acoustically good, it also has to be physically appealling, too.
@TheDuchess2009 well i'm 27, so i'm not much above 25, and a-ha are my favourite performers of all time. and i think that they are physically appealing as well as being acoustically good. so there lol !.

super song, without any doubts!! what keeps me thrilled about a-ha, is that each song has a deep meaning and beauty, which are so rare today.....i think, in any time of your life you might find a matching song, whether love, sadness or any color of your mood! THANK YOU, A-HA
I don't believe 'til now this band is finished... Their musics got part of my life's soundtrack... I grew up listening them!
And I absoluted agree, everybody in USA is outdated and no culture... A-HA HASN'T NOT ONLY ONE HIT! They have lovely and beautiful songs! I'll always love A-HA!
Where's all the catchy, inoffensive synth melodies? And all of the wacky '80s visual effects? And all the cryptic Norwegian talk of wanting to be taken on and such? Wait a second...
@JungleJack1978 Sadly, Aha said they officially will no longer be playing together after their final tour, officialy broken up. They broke up previously, but apparently some contractual obligation required they make a last album or something. There's a interview of them saying "we didn't have a choice" regarding making the last album.
I'm just repeating what Morten Harket said on camera during an interview with his band members sitting right next to him.
In 1998 they only reunited after separating in 1994 because of "no choice" to play at the Nobel Peace Prize (Norway, A-ha's home country, hosts the Nobel).
It's a socialist country, so, who knows, the government may've pressed them...
It was a good run thereafter anyways, shame the Americas didn't give them enough of a chance after the 80's.
Oh, also, They didn't expect to reuinte prior to the 1998 Nobel gig (ahafancafe.proboards[dot]com/index.cgi?board=doublelattetodaysnewspap&action=print&thread=882)
@Cribocop ; Be honest, Cribobop, the "best" music is a subjective judgement. If you take pure SALES amounts, the Americans often are the clear winners. BUT, that is an unfair measurement because English is a very popular language, so many Europeans listen to American music. Unfortunately, most European languages are not world languages, so their specific language music has a limited market. Also, America has MANY more people to make music than individual European countries.
I am going to see Aha for the final times in Nov at Lg arena birmingham and wembley. I have seen them many many times and my best friend won tickets for a live and intimate gig of 100 and we were on front row and even held Morten Harkets hand. They are an awesome band and is a bloody shame they are finally hanging up their hats as a band. But keep an eye out for their continued work as solo artists. And watch out for Magne's art work. Analogue by far my favourite tune xx
I hate it how everybody in the USA thinks that a-ha is a band from the 80s that had only one song- Take On Me that is- and have absolutely no idea about any work they've done after.

@ymi2b they've released about a dozen albums. They've got a pretty awesome catalog of music (including a Bond movie intro), i just saw them in LA (both shows sold-out) and they couldn't even play all their hits in two years. I live in LA now but grew up in Europe and just 'cause a song wasn't a hit here.....
BTW checked out your channel (LAME!!!) people in glasshouses....
@connacastle : Oh yeah, well.. well, .. well maybe YOUR CHANNEL IS LAME!!!!
..and I was joking about their having only 2 hits. Man, I am the only Aha fan that I know of here in the USA in my area. I own most of their albums, but must confess that I only like about 2 songs per album, but isn't that true of most every album anyone buys? Their music is kind of "homosexual/metrosexual" by USA standards, but I could care less what people think (I'm heterosexual, SHUT UP, I AM!!)
@olgarusak Yes, what you say is true. Once on a TV show they said that A-ha was a one hit wonder band, which is completely wrong. And I think Morten Harket is drop dead gorgeus!!!!
@eric1978a : has anyone told you.. um.. has anyone said that.. well, um... well, that your username is obnoxious!!? Yeah, it's been bugging me ever since I've seen it, so I wish you'd just change it already. Take that, you annoying person.
One of my most favorite A-ha songs... I have to admit that all of them were absolutely great. But my favorites - Analogue, Forever Not Yours, A Little Bit and Nothing Is Keeping You Here give me the greatest power of all... love this song. :)

have you read the history of their one hit "take on me?"
Maybe you heard of the song?
Anyways, in all seriousness, read the history of them on last.fm slash music slash a-ha slash +wiki
"Take on me" actually was released 1984, but not very successful! It was successful when another guy remixed it and it was rereleased in 1985.
In fact, youtube has the original, and it really is a PALE in comparison to the final ( youtube.com slash watch?v=j1GTf1T4_7Y )
