  • Look up Jazz at the Philharmonic and Norm Granz. There's so much to buy for your own collection that it's crazy. Oscar, Lockjaw, Dizzy, Louis Bellson (drums), Flip Phillips, Lester Young, Ben Webster, Illinois Jaquet (Ridin' High), and so many others -- all collected and setup by Norm Granz to make records.

  • thanks jazz guy brilliant

  • Eddie sounds good. He also did some great stuff with Griffin. Bass player looks like Niels-Henning Orsted Pedersen.

  • Oscar Peterson at the piano and I spot Dizzy in backgorund...who are the others?

  • NHOP bass; Jimmy Smith, drums; Clark Terry, trumpet

  • @JazzVideoGuy Drummer is Bobby Durham, Smith performed there same night with Count Basie

  • @JazzVideoGuy

Acctiully that´s not Jimmy Smith, that´s good old Bobby Durham :)

  • What a tenor sax master!

    Much respect!

  • Wow...simply amazing!! And talk about being surrounded by talent.... that's Oscar Peterson on piano, and Dizzy Gillespie on trumpet.

  • man NHOP gets around! awesome vid.

  • One of the most orginal jazz tenor pleyers. I've yet to figure out how he is articulating and how he matches it to the lines he plays.

  • I love his version of "stolen moments."
