  • If you want a thumb stud, put a zip tie through the hole and zip it so the head of the tie is on the hand you open it with. The head of the zip tie can act like a thumb stud.

  • Do you like the Rat 1 or the Tenacious better? I couldn't decide myself so I ordered the Tenacious because I'm not digging the thumb barrel on the blades.

  • this also was my 1st spyderco. the 2nd was the military. awsome knife.

  • my first spyderco. bought it at a convention for 40$

they sell for 56 on the spyderco website. not too much, not too cheap. : /

    definitely worth the money

    no blade play

    super sharp

heavy (quality heavy, not bad heavy)

    locks tight

"clicks" closed DEFINITELY wont open in ur pocket

might need oil now and then. rust dots may apear, but 3 in 1 oil eats em off

  • @hathcocked never use hex bits on ROTC screws. Strips the shit outta them.

  • hey man, i like your review, but my question is off topic haha... but what kind of gloves are you wearing?

  • wanna trade?

  • My tenacious wasn't scary sharp, but it was working sharp out of the box.

  • i cant flick mine open at all

just got mine. Great knife though, first spyderco

  • great review back drop and great review.

  • which size driver did u use to remove the clip, i cant get mine out and i have all the different Hex drivers.

  • @jimmyjames1981 I believe the clip screws are a t6, I have heard some people say the hardware varies on the newer ones and you might need either a 1.5mm or 1.6mm hex. Depends on when you bought it I guess.

  • all spyderco knives come sharp

  • where is this knife made?

  • @JMinCali The Tenacious is one of the chinese made Spyderco's.

  • @hathcocked nice video, but is the sound low or is it just me?

  • @treeba531 I guarantee you they are g10. Directly from spyderco's site "handle material G-10".

  • @treeba531

wow ur an idiot its g10 not frn

  • @treeba531 fail

  • how's the blade retention on this ??? like if you shake the knife does the blade fallout??

  • @Bwheat7 The retention on mine was pretty good, I have heard some are more loose then others. Mine never opened when I didn't intend it.

  • @Bwheat7 nutnfancy cut himself a while back with the tenacious because his blade opened in his bag accidentally. I just ordered mine and hope that doesn't happen!

  • @thedude00121 I'm sure you could do some basic camp tasks with it but I would go with a fixed blade for bushcraft.

  • Just got this knife this morning from yourcornerstore dot come delivered to Ireland! Very impressed!

  • @cliffway Awesome! I think it's great that they ship internationally, I am sick of the non US guy's being left out of all the fun!

  • @cliffway also got one in the door in ireland.... was so impressed with it that i got its little brother the persistance......

    great vids... ile subscribe !!

  • I am debating if I should return it or not. It is too heavy and too fat for everyday carry. The construction and the blade feels cheap compare to other Spyderco knives. Made in China blade. Perhaps good for everyday beat without feeling bad about it even if I lost it. I can also sell it and use the money to buy a real Spyderco (quality) knife if I added about $20 more to it. I think there is a good reason to why this model is so cheap....

  • @urkingod It's sharp and holds an edge, deploys fast and locks up solidly. I don't know what type of fit and finish you expect for $25 dollars but mine is fine. I carried the tenacious for a 6 month period and it never developed any issues or failed me.

  • awesome review on the spyderco something I would b interested n! thanx for info

  • Any review for combo edge tenacious?

  • It would be pretty much the same review, some people prefer serrations some do not. You can't go wrong either way for the money.

  • Just got mine today!

  • Just in time for christmas!

  • Yeah! I obviously haven't had much time with cutting, but out of the box it is fantastically sharp! Even more so than my Leatherman Charge TTi (S30V blade).

  • Glad to hear it came razor sharp. I always like the knife to come as sharp as possible from the factory.

  • @hathcocked that background is beautiful, where do you live?

I dont mean adress i mean state xD

  • @elnino482 I live in Detroit, Michigan. That is Belle Isle, you can google "Belle isle park" to check it out.

  • @hathcocked Oh cool i thought it was new england.

  • Sweet knife and good review, I can't wait for mine to get here. I like your choice of location for the review, and I hope your buddy stays safe in Afghanistan.

  • It's a great knife and it will surely serve you well. He made it back to the states and will be here for christmas. Thanks for commenting!

  • i LOVE mine :)

  • Cool, glad you like it. It's hard to beat for the money.

  • i just ordered one

  • Cool man, let me know what you think of it.

  • i cant wait haha

  • The most reviewed knife on youtube!

  • Very true. The price makes it easily accessible to most people. Not many knives can beat the Tenacious as far as value for the money goes. I still feel the Rat 1 is a superior knife for a similar and most of the time cheaper price.

  • I watched dozens of review of this knife, I just ordered one online and I dont know what to expect.

  • great review 5/5*****

  • Your knife does have smooth grinding, unlike mine (you saw that in my review). That's interesting. Maybe they need to train the 12 year olds to be more consistant with grinding. Good review. 5 pointies

You really should try a decent Spydie, you would see a major difference. I still like my Ten for a beater.

    Subscribed to you.

  • Yeah I was really disappointed to see the wavy grinding on yours. Thanks for telling the truth about it, I can't stand people who are blindly loyal to a manufacturer even if they are putting out subpar products. Quality control will never improve if no one has the balls to mention the issues.

  • @BLUNTRUTH4U That is because it is made in China. You can type "Chinese disneyland subtitled" go from there to learn more about Chinese standard. I am not a racist or prejudice person, but only interested in the truth.

  • hey have you or any of you other guys noticed that your liner lock is wearign a littl mark on your blade by where is says china. It is hapening to mine and its not really that big of a deal its just a little annoying.

  • Yeah mine has the same mark, as I expect all of them do over time. Not much you can do about it I'm afraid.

  • darn good knife easy to sharpen,

good lock up. i like it

    i use it everyday buzz

  • Totally agree with you. I have been carrying every day for a few months now and it has never let me down. It gets shaving sharp with the spyderco sharpmaker and a little stropping.

  • Just trying to fit all my hobbies into my free time lol.

  • have you ever thought about getting a pair of gloves that fit?

  • My birthday is coming up, feel free to buy me a pair.

  • It's growing on me the more I carry it. I canceled my Rat 1 order today because it wouldn't ship till June.. So I will be carrying this for awhile.

  • Nice review! Keep it up!

  • sweet knife i got mine at the same place i like it alot.

  • Good review. Its a great knife. Well done on the lanyard as well. You might try holding the knife a little further away from the lense in order to focus it.

  • I wish it were that simple. It seems like I am right up on the knife in the review but in reality the camera is up near my face and my arm is fully extended. This is apparently a well known and common issue with these cameras. These are just not suited for "tabletop" distance reviews. There is a mod I am going to try where you glue a step down ring to the front of the camera so you can use those macro and telephoto lenses that are made for point and shoot cameras.

  • Great review! Very informational; very helpfull. I will probably be picking one of these up soon myself.

  • Thanks. I am sure you will love it.

  • Thanks. I just wish I could get the Flip Mino HD to focus on whats in the foreground instead of the background. I think I am going to try one of those DIY macro lens mods on it.
