I like to say what I know of that is true . If I say I am this or that it is only what I think I am .not what the lord has made me to be.It is my free will that makes my future and what I think my free will is dose not mean that is what it is. so if I submit to our creator or if I am predestine to what is the difference . To see your future as your past can not be explained it just is.
I am not a muslim but a predestinarian who believes in Islam was here before adam. That free will is what each of us are ,that the creator is the largest and greatest of all wills, that mans will is divided into two, good and evil the creator has no division only good will. his plan to glory has all ready been done and we only live in the past of it.
i'm muslim sunni... and i think dr mokhtar maghraoui explanation about qada' and qadar is just a little bit better and little more convincing.. and after i listened carefully to it i found more peace in me whenever i read Quranic verse which mentioned that it is by Allah's will that something or anything or everything happened... to Allah belong all knowledge..
Either things are written, or there is free will, the 2 are not compatible.
If we have a pre-determined life then if it is written that I will steal a car next week then I will steal it, & it is truly pre-determined.
If free will exists I can obviously choose whether or not to steal it, & therefore the future is not pre-determined
Otherwise if it is written on the tablet I am to steal the car but I decide not to then it means that Allah's writings would be wrong & I have broken gods will.
god has knowledge of everything. some things are written down like the day we die or the day we are born. other things we can change. just because god knows our future actions doesnt mean it changes anything.
The issue of the "teacher's prediction" vs the actual results. It is true, we can see much of a person's charcter without having to test them, but in monotheistic religions, moments of clarity and wisdom can transform seemingly bad people. No one could have predicted it...Not a parent, not a teacher. Could Allah have? He may have known we had goodness "in us" but it is up to us to choose it. So, the lecture no longer makes sense (though it sounds good).
I think you're missing the point. Allahs knowledge is so perfect that he has foreknowledge of the things that is going to happen, it is written in a book, but it does not mean Allah is forcing or deciding what we do. We still have freewill but since he is not restricted by time and space and his perfect knowledge allows him to know what will happen.
I dont see whats so hard to understand about that.
@ManifestationOfTruth go against it. Since He owns all of Creation, He Wills as He does. We must accept His will. This means, that although we are self-aware, conscious, have intentions and have choices - all of this is the Will of Allah. Some are predestined for hellfire, and some for paradise. This corresponds to how they will live, as Allah has knowledge of the result and of the test, and at no point in existence lacked this knowledge.

maybe they do, but your arrogance is not allowing you to research it better, and you simply judge of what you know thinking you know everything.
A.K.A stupidity :P
