truth is that in this senario whoever attacks is the loser. Greece has good and an entirely defensive equiped army, turkey has balanced one. U should keep on mind the geography of balkans. turkey has 10 times more soldiers but this counts nothing when the only land borders is evros river and strangely the greek side is full of mountains(army cant move quickly, not recomended for large armies) and the turkish side of the river is open fields.
the game will be played in the air, where greek and turkish airforce are balanced with same numbers of fighting aircrafts and same level of experience of the pilots. Plus the s-300 system in crete will make the life of turkish pilots a living hell. In the sea greeks have the advantage cause they know the aegean very well and they have ships almost in every island while turkish fleet is in smyrna, plus greek navy is by far better equiped.

Either u dont know about military tactics or u dont know geography, the only land border gr and tur have is evros in thrace, in such narrow pass as we all know numbers doesnt count. The millitary spending is the same for both countries. Turkey will need to control aegean if the want to have success but this is nearly impossible(due to greek navy, one of the best in the world).
In the air they are even, in ground turkey has advantage but without air or naval support it means nothing. Plus greece millitary spendings are purely defensive oriented equipment while turkeys is spleated.

truth is that in this senario whoever attacks is the loser. Greece has good and an entirely defensive equiped army, turkey has balanced one. U should keep on mind the geography of balkans. turkey has 10 times more soldiers but this counts nothing when the only land borders is evros river and strangely the greek side is full of mountains(army cant move quickly, not recomended for large armies) and the turkish side of the river is open fields.

Plus the s-300 system in crete will make the life of turkish pilots a living hell. In the sea greeks have the advantage cause they know the aegean very well and they have ships almost in every island while turkish fleet is in smyrna, plus greek navy is by far better equiped.

@alboz4life313 if greece invades turkey, greece would lose because turkey's landscape is sort of flat and wide. in this case, turkey with its far greater manpower, would be able to envelop the greek invaders. now, if turkey invades greece, greece will stomp the turks because the greek mainland is ridiculously mountainous and this would negate turkey's advantage is numeric superiority. on the sea, as you've implied, greece would rout turkey's navy. romania WOULD intervene. both nations are in EU!

lol since when land mass is a positive in battles. Either u dont know about military tactics or u dont know geography, the only land border gr and tur have is evros in thrace, in such narrow pass as we all know numbers doesnt count. The millitary spending is the same for both countries. Turkey will need to control aegean if the want to have success but this is nearly impossible(due to greek navy, one of the best in the world).

In the air they are even, in ground turkey has advantage but without air or naval support it means nothing. Plus greece millitary spendings are purely defensive oriented equipment while turkeys is spleated.
Truth is whoever is the defender is the winner wether is greece in defence or turkey, thats why there is no war between them, they both know if they attack they will lose

@DARKKNlGHT93 oh of cource, and we didnt go to nato, during the 1st year of the war we fought by ourselfs and we controlled 2/3 of kosovo. i dont get whats wrong with u ppl, u had russian and greek mercenaries plus u had all the tanks, bombs, guns, fighter jets, we only had aks, RPGs mines what ever we can get our hands on. and we still beat u. it was a unfair fight from the begining, but u serbs still lost due to low moral and very high desertion and stupid soldiers

@alboz4life313 We lost 2 wars in Croatia(Croatian had help of NATO) and Kosovo war(Albanians had help of NATO).Remmember albanian fraze "Thank you NATO" and American flags when you celebrated independent Kosovo.We won war in Bosnia we got 49% of Bosnian territory(Republika Srpska),ww1,ww2 and every other wars in past almost all we won.
