I beg to differ on the guitar tone. It sounds perfect for the warm underbelly of this song. Reminds me of some great Neil Young sounds. Listen at exactly at the 2 minute mark. You couldn't imagine a different tone. This song has a touch of Remy Zero and Neutral Milk Hotel there as well. Very well done stuff.

No one is arguing that the performance is bad...simply that the guitar sound was not captured well.
