Fuck this, the ad and its music kills any possible pleasure that follows in context of what the ad is and sounds like. yes, Thibaudet is an amazing musician. Pity.
I disagree, I think the video clip adds to the song. When I first heard this song I've always wondered what this girl, the girl who inspired this gorgeous piece, looked like. Though the girl in the video is not the girl Debussy based this song off of, it is nice to.. I don't know, get an idea of what the girl would look like. And Jean-Yves is such an emotional player, it's nice to watch him.
Jean Yves is a great pianist and artist, for my taste I prefer him better than many big virtuosos, he just puts something into the music... His Debussy, Ravel, and Satie are unsurpassable!
I dont think it needs a video clip to support it though :) the music is so beautiful and picturesque it takes you to a more beautiful place than any clip ever could..

The video is silly and distracting, but he is a truly great musician, as well as a pianist with a complete mastery of a huge repertoire.

I love Jean-Yves THibaudet, but this music video just tickles me
I'm not sure who's supposed to be the pretty one, Jean-Yves or the girl with the flaxen hair
nevermind that this music video suggests romantic heterosexual love between a gay pianist and a girl, lol

I did this today for my GCSE exam, I'm SO glad I found this piece really. it's beautiful, and his interpretation of it is perfect.

Lovely :) ... although that girl's hair isn't really flaxen. No criticism intended, I'm just saying!

@heyho64 I was lucky to page turn for him when he was recording an album for Decca years ago. He's a really nice chap.
