OMG I have a full size acer aspire and when I first got it I used this video editor that let me upload it straight to youtube. Now I cant find it or get it or what its called. And its not DVD Maker ive tried that IDK someone help me please.

hi again.. excuse my stupidity but im a mac useing now going mini.. so i have this acer now...and it does not seem to upload h264 from my sd card is that a problem with this laptop? im just going to now shoot on .mov to see what happins

@crystalskulls - I'm not sure about h264 my Nikon Coolpix L5 shoots in .MOV format and I would have to use RAD Tools to convert to AVI to edit with WMM. This process works great. This video was done that way.

im looking to buy this as a netbook and editor with movie make.. im steping down from a macbook but will be deep in central america .. how has it worked with you with it

@crystalskulls - It works great. It's so small and you can take it anywhere. I use mine with Skype all the time with the built in webcam and USB ports just plug in a USB headset and your ready to go. Using the onboard mic and speaker can be done only in a quite place. Editing movies doable if only 3-5 minutes long short video blogs are fine this is a great tool for that couple with digital camera that can take movies too would be a plus I use a Nikon Coolpix L5. Have fun with it!

I found out that my drivers are in PIO mode, on my AA1.

how do i change them back to DMA?

what will happen if i unstall them?

What will happen if i restore to factory settings (alt f10 when booting), will i loose my OS?

I got my Acer Aspire One second hand a few days ago. Its been going fine for about 2 days, then over night i started it up and its taking about 3 times slower than usual, but also the sound has gone crackly and slow.

I don't know what to do.

I have done a virus scan with no threats found, and fragmented.

could it be the fact that hav just downloaded and installed about 5gb worth of stuff.

Also can you please make it so it doesnt remove all my stuff.

Hi, use Windows Movie Maker. Launch the program on the left hand side you should see 'Capture from video device' in the screen that opens you will see the Acer's webcam just select it and make sure your audio capture device is your onboard microphone or if you have a USB headset make sure thats selected. From this point just follow the screen prompts. If you still need more help let me know maybe Ill do another video showing how to do this

Yes it is a Netbook. I very pleased on it's performance so far. I can shoot video with my digital camera (Nikon Coolpix L5) and edit the video with Windows Movie Maker on the Acer Aspire One. Very, very portable video editor the L5 has a small form factor too so I can take it with me anywhere.

I am using CA Internet Security 2007 from my ISP provider (RR). This is free for RR customer. It seems to be working very well. Start up is the same with my PC desktop. I dont use this netbook as a main laptop. The keyboard is slightly smaller than the normal size and it takes getting use to. There is no CD/DVD RW drive. Bottom line it depends on what you need your computer to do for me I wanted something very small to take on trips, store my digital pictures, internet and emails.

Yeah I was really impressed myself that my Nikon Coolpix L5 could take such good video and I was blown away that the Acer Aspire One could edit the video! It will become my travel companion on future trips.
