@Jongeruz nope. yngwie's one of the few who can do it with feeling and emotion. it's why he's still selling albums after almost 30 years. yngwie's one of the greats; listening to his music moves me every time and further inspires me to better myself at guitar both from a technical standpoint as well as a compositional one. truly one of the few great artists still around today.
yes, he's a very talented, very skilled guitarist. too bad he's arrogant as fuck! i saw a pantera dvd and dimebag tried to talk to him and he was a total douche to dime. thats horseshit in my opinion. but he makes his money and i make just enough to be broke. haha. go figure.
The whole "Yngwie sux because he's arrogant" is such a cop-out. People can't flaw his ability so they have to find something I suppose...
You can bet your ass if I was HALF as talented I'd be twice as arrogant!
Where is it written that if you're famous, you're obligated to pander to everyone who wants to talk to you? It's not that way for "normal" people, why should he have to live by different rules? Yngwie rules, arrogant or not.

yeah that sucked... not saying I am better but if you're going to record a song please make sure you can actually play it good live. and the crowd wasted their money because they are just fuckin sitting there! jesus
I've seen Yngwie live a few times over the years. If it ever seems like he's playing like crap, it's usually the fault of the house pa system. He and the band play loud, and sometimes the house systems in the clubs don't due him any justice.
lmao. It's not the type of concert where people hop around and head bang/mosh pit etc...Everyone was there to hear him play. They cheered very loud after the songs if that helps.
I have had every one of Yngwies albums and saw him live the realease date of fire and ice and i gotta tell you that goran edman was the shit! now i still think fire and ice was one of his most approachable albums commercially and one of the best sounding. i have nothing but some agreement on yngwie not trying in that death dealear and damnation game sound just like every single track yngwie puts out at#1 and #2 on the album i swear you could play vengeance or never die and they sound the same.
TO ALL NEWBIE YNGWIE FANS, I've been a fan of Yngwie since the early 80's, seen him in concert alot too, this solo is the same ol' same ol'. Yngwie is awesome, but doesn't seem to even try anymore. It's sad. If you want to hear him at his best, get his first two albums, Marching Out and Rising Force, listen to Black Star, I am a Viking, or any Overture. Back in the day he had better singers too, like Graham Bonnet who sang for Rainbow, and Jeff Scott Soto. Singers since Odyssey have sucked.
Bullshit. So they're your favourite albums, doesn't automatically mean that they're his best. And I think everyone knows that Tim Owens is Yngwie's best singer.
What are you 17? Wait until you're around for awhile and you'll see as well. If it weren't for bands like Mountain at Woodstock, who by the way had a WAY better solo technically speaking than Hendrix (and yes I know Jimi was a major influence to YJM, but YJM hasn't played ANYTHING different for 20 years!), The Scorpions when Uli John Roth played with him, Ritchie Blackmore, and several others, there wouldn't be the heavy shit you see today or even Yngwie.Sorry I hurt your feelings sunshine.
God! Yngwie plays really really bad here.

Just being able to play fast doesn't make you an amazing guitarist.

This song originally came about when jesus picked up an electric guitar.
Then Yngwie played it faster, much, much faster, and Jesus quit
