I watched all of your videos and I am dumb struck. You are a very very brave man who has deep commitments. Your series will help young men whether they are LDS or not. I'm hoping you have found someone to love because you have so so much to offer. May God bless you and take you under his shoulder.
Clark, You did your best to help that young guy who offed himself. Don`t feel guilty about it, however badly, of course, you feel this. That shows that you are a genuine human being, not a failure.
Your authentic process is inspiring. I agree with therebelwaltz that your videos are especially inspiring for gay people, but also for anyone seeking to live the truth of big deep feelings that don't match what others expect of them. For me, it was realizing that a Jewish life is for me despite being raised in a mildly Christian family. The freedom that living one's truth brings is like the biggest, most love-filled exhale one can imagine. I hope others watch and begin to accept themselves. thx
Not only did it give me a lot of insight into your specific experience as a gay Mormon male, but I could also totally relate to you. You do not have to be gay, or an ex-Mormon, to relate to the basic message of these videos. I think anyone who has had to struggle to be themselves when others (family, friends church, etc.) has tried to make them conform to something else that they are not, can absolutely relate to your ordeal.
I have just watched all six or seven parts of this blog. I have re-lived my youth (an anglican in England), my adolescents, and best part of my adult life in just under an hour. This guy speaks with such courage, and clarity of heart, and above all, he asked that one question that I had never had the courage, or indeed the wherewithall to ask: did my Church fail me / was my Church failing God? Thank you thank you thank you.
Honestly, I was never taught that. I have not lived a perfect life by any means. And I didn't have the hardest life either. But something I can testify of is repentance and forgiveness. I wish someone would have taught him better that he can be forgiven. That he isn't condemned. You never are. You always have that choice. And that is one of my favorite things about this church. No matter what you do or who you are, I will always being to forgive you and love you.
When I started watching this video sequence, I thought that it would be someone just bashing the church. And I was happily surprised to see that it wasn't. My uncle was thirty when he took his life. Not from homosexuality, but from a drug addiction. And I think the same principles apply.
We grow being taught to do the right thing and to be happy we must make the right choices. And if we do the wrong thing we are condemned. Or at least thats what my uncle thought. And it makes me sad that...
We don't believe that the Native Americans are cursed. That is not the truth. And I have never heard of any gays being treated this way in church ever before. And I agree with @soldierssong. This is something to be proud of. Even if I don't necissarily agree with it, it is something that every person, member or not needs to consider.
Few more things to add- I love how you use so many Mormon-phrases. "Bear with me", "I'd like to bear my testimony...to you that...". Ironic and witty. This is like a 2007 version of the Sep. 2010 It Gets Better Project, as well. Haha.
Beautifully said and good points. The moment you mentioned if an accident somehow happened, you would be okay with it or even welcome it...I was struck. I feel that way everyday. I didn't know if anyone else did. It does not have to deal with my Mormonism, although. Because of a relationship. I am not required to participate in Mormonism anymore because I tried to commit suicide after dealing with the stress of hiding my "evil" disbelief. Easier to get out of than I thought. So far. (Age 16)
Probably one of the best responses to homosexuality in the Church. You are not completely bashing the Church, but simply stating that it is not for everyone. I love the Church, but most importantly I want people to be happy. And if the Church does not serve that purpose and makes people contemplate suicide, then it isn't worth it. It would be better for them to have sex or do drugs, as long as they are not hurting anyone else. Theft, Murder, etc are sins that truly cross the line.
I have no idea what it's like to be gay, but when I started to doubt God as a missionary I totaly welcomed death in the way you were talking about. I kept pushing myself to believe, just hoping I would die before falling away from the church. It's sad how we (and many others) were brainwashed into thinking there was no happiness outside of the church.
Clark thank you for that ,,this is the first time I have watched this vid,,Im in teers,,to se that other people have been going threw, this total hell Im living with the same thoughts,,,wanting to die ,,,, man I really need to talk to you...
Respond to this video... you have helped me so much. . . im 17yo male and i was born into the church mormon struggling with being bisexual and it is one of the most confusing and hard things ive ever had to deal with
You must have been through hell Clark. I'm sorry you gave it your all, only to feel yourself shunned and cast-out of the society you grew up in. It's too bad you couldn't have been raised with us here in Hawaii... you wouldn't have this baggage.
Thank you for sharing. My partner and I struggled with many of the same issues. You may all ready know about Heart of the Matter or hotm.tv It was really a huge help as was your video blog
Thank you for posting this. You have no idea how many you are helping. I wish you all the luck in the world. Your parents should be extremely proud of you.
Good luck to you Clark. Your choise should be respected. I know most members of the LDS Church honor your free agency. You are very eloquent and no doubdt a very, very good person. I wish you success in your life.
any belief that being born gay is a sin in the eyes of the Lord, is utterly stupid and narrow-minded, and must be viewed as a blasphemy: for it is God who created you the way you are. Only He has the right to judge people for what they were born to be. Despite my being straight, those words are coming right out of my own mouth.
I love you just the way you are, Clark, and thanks for all those wonderful testimonies of yours.
"I am distressed for thee, my brother Jonathan: very pleasant hast thou been unto me: thy love to me was wonderful, passing the love of women."
That said, well so David loved someone the same gender and that love he felt towards him, Jonathan, was even stronger/higher than what David felt towards women... mmmmmm, doesn't it sound like homosexual love to you?!?
I just wonder why people keep hiding the truth! God bless us all!!!
You are a natural healer. I hope that you are working hard to prepare yourself for bringing healing to young people through professional therapy and also free counselling for every kid that you can help.
And you will be ashamed for comments like the ones you posted, and for the attitude you have had about other people with different challenges or situations in their lives. You clearly haven't traveled much, or gotten away from your tight-knit Mormon community. That's why your head is still up your ass.
Go travel the world, and see how Muslims and Hindus, and Buddhists live, and then let's see how you feel. A trip like that will change your life. And your mind.
MrSlt369, you should do what I did, and pull YOUR head out of your ass, stop looking down your nose at others who are not LDS, or whom you presume are spiritually inferior to yourself, and try loving people in spite of who or what they are.
You may actually learn what it means to be "Christ-like", and to "love your neighbor" for the first time in your life.
Someday when you finally realize what a crock of shit the LDS "church' is, you will be embarrassed for ever believing it.
MrSlt369, your comments illustrate the problem with Mormons:
THEY ARE THE MOST SELF-RIGHTEOUS PEOPLE ON EARTH.
I know, I used to be just like you. Then I pulled my head out of my ass and realized that I believed in Joseph's MYTH, and that I was the idiot for it.
It was then that I began to see everything and everyone in a new light, and I was finally able to truly love my fellow man without looking at him down my nose if he wasn't LDS like me. I stopped discriminating and got real.
God bless you, Clark. You are absolutely amazing. Thank you for your candor and honesty, and for your pioneering spirit. You are one of the new leaders that will help us all get past organized religion, and finally find the true meaning of life, and to illustrate what the Golden Rule really meant. Trust me when I tell you that GOD REALLY LOVES YOU AND ADMIRES YOU SO MUCH.
This is a great series and im sure will help many LGBT Mormons and Christians of many traditions that are gay. I often times feel lucky to be part of an affirming LGBT faith. I've been Episcopalian for years and feel blessed that I have such progressive and open minded clergy, bishops and lay people who are welcoming and affirming of gay relationships. God made us ALL in his Image, that Includes our sexual orientation... God doesnt make Junk. Hopefully all faiths will recognize this someday!
Wonderful conclusion or coda to the series. The tragic suicide of your correspondent made the dilemma of Big Love's Alby and his lover terribly real. Great selfless work. Keep keeping on.
I don't understand what it is like to be a gay member of the church. It must be difficult, but is it more difficult for gays than others? Everybody has things that they need to give up in order to obtain the kingdom of heaven. Like the parable of the pearl of great price. You give all that you have to obtain the pearl. We all have our sacrifices to make. But I really believe that if we have faith and support eachother that we can do it :)
probably because of the loneliness, stigma and discrimination that's attached to it. When my cousins came out they were ostracised by people in their wards. From what I've heard, most gays fall away because they would prefer to share their life with someone rather than live alone and celibate in the church their entire lives.
Wow! I am amazed at your approach and your appreciation for the doctrine of the church. I have reviewed all your recordings. I have noticed a marked change in your last two videos. What has changed for you and are you now currently in a relationship?
I take it that you still have a testimony.. or still believe that this church was created by God?? "If ye love me keep my commandments" soo homosexuality as well as inactivity show that you probably don't love God as much as you should. I'm not trying to bash; I'm fascinated by your story, but how can you go from having the holy ghost with you daily on your mission to where you are now? Isn't it hard? If the church is still true how can you live contrary to that
I commend you for sharing your experiences so articulately. I think about what a difference it might have made for me had I seen someone like you speaking so honestly about being a gay mormon before I learned to accept myself. kudos!!
Excellent story Clark and thanks for this! Your story and your strenght will help thousands of LGBT mormon kids out there who fight for their right to be who they truly are and to accept that being gay is no choice and no lifestyle but rather just the way God has created you.
Proposition 8 definitely made me question my faith. Something I realized is that if we're all on this earth to live and to make our own choices, to exercise our agency so to speak, Christ's plan would probably be to keep our options open. Isn't it Satan's plan to force you to choose the right? That's why I thought it was so odd for Thomas S. Monson to support Prop. 8, and deny gays their right to choose to marry someone of the same gender.
the only person who can judge is the Jesus Im a straight LDS girl who grew up in a huge LDS community. I wasnt raised in a perfect LDS family, all make mistakes, but my testimony grew w/ choices Ive made. I commend you for your struggles. I believe that only He knows us and our intentions and only through Him may we enter at the gate. I have 3 kids and I feel surer w/ how I should react if any of them would have to endure such struggles. You have a good spirit and I thank you! God bless
I like the vid, but I dislike when you said that if I told my family would they accept me if I was gay or commit suicide? UMMM....... I think that was a bad idea of saying that cause (Believe it or not) There are some families out their who would choose death over homosexurality still! So dont give these kids courage to ask that question and then get a horrible answer in return from a close family member! That would send them quicker to the grave. Its sad but its true
I completely understand where you are comming from. I'm not gay, but your experience growing up in the church is just like many of us. Endure to the end..thats just the way the church keeps you on track with its teachings. There are so many wonderful people in this life OUTSIDE of the church. Leaving the church was easier that some think. I did it, married into a wonderful catholic family. My life is now what I want it. There is not just one true church...if there is a god at all.
I agree that people can be happy outside of the church in this lifetime, but can you honestly say that in the eternities that you can be happy without accepting the gospel? I'm not trying to judge, I just want to know more.
You have a very beautiful soul. I wish I could (can) do what you have done...I might not be in this situation that I am in now. I am a recent convert and I have fallen for the one who had helped me get baptized. He is leaving in 1 week and I am in love with him...this is going to kill me I can tell...
Why don't you people just go all the way: Study the mormon "religion" from an objective perspective and see that it's a TOTAL scam from the very start. See that your pain has come from living the LIE of religion--the existence of sky-daddies. Admit that you were RAISED to believe in magical thinking.
Admit the simple (easily observable) fact that religious people (through the ages) who went around telling people they KNEW about "supernatural" realities....actually knew nothing of the kind.
I tried to come out and all the mormon "twinks" made me feel embarassed. I finally found the bear community and have become more adjusted. however, I found out much later that there are bear mormons. All that it means to me is that I'm more au naturale and less metrosexual. I'm not saying you are any particular label but I am saying that when I tried to find love, my love being spurned kept me in the closet.
lets say a male duck has gay sex w/other male duck, just what did that accomplish 4 nature? poor duck is a loser genetically, did it fulfill its duckly destiny or was it a genetic dead-end, duh
a nature that cant tell the diff, is destined 2 fail, humans can socially control their behavior, sexual urge is natural/sexual -orientation is learned
what of Infertile people? they at least have the reproductive apparatus to make babies, while gays r literally dead-ends
No, only one of Gods laws is to multiply and replenish the earth. Women who are barren aren't pointless. They have many other things they can do to live the laws of God- they can choose to adopt or if they don't want to have kids they can choose not to have kids.
They can still be a part in the growth of teaching others the gospel and the world through their point of view.
Just caught all these things. Great work. You're amazing and your insight into this can be really great for a lot of people. Thanks for educating about your feelings and beliefs.
You obviously don't understand Christianity to make a comment like that. Christ who raised the dead, made the blind see and the lame walk could easily have walked down from the cross, he died because he loves all of humanity, including you. It was the ultimate act of selflessness!!!
what an amazing young man you are!! as the proud mother of a gay son i commend you for being so honest and positive..i look forward to a future where all people can be who they naturally are, without the stigma the gays up until now have endured!
You rock!!! I love your story and that you were so will to share it. It really has changed my life. I loveeee your philosophy and just you view life. Thank you soooooo much!!! :D
Thank you so much for sharing lawrenzzz. I believe I'm in the same "new birth" as you. Loved your insight and flow of all the clips. Yea, I'm a BYU alumni as well..go cougs! Much love from Las Vegas...all the best to you
You only get one kick at the can. You have to live your life the way you think it works best for you.
I'm sorry to hear about your friend. I lost a friend from BYU who shot himself because he was gay. I had lost contact with him, but it was still painful to learn. I was most upset thinking of all the years of suffering he had to go through to get to the horrible point.
Suicide isn't a choice; it's a symptom of depression and mental anguish. Get help, it will get better!

Well, as an "ex" gay (still me, just different goals now) I have to say that you flunked the test. go back brother! yes, you can be happy without the church but you will definately be a sick PIECE when you slide out of here. You obviously never had a testimony.
I left the Church a year ago, and joined another denomination. No I'm not gay but I'm not a "sick piece." I'm actually happier then ever, and glad to have left the mind controlling cult.
I a 62/yr old straight male who has been married forty years, and I thought your presentation was the most moving analysis of the essential error of the Mormon position.
Good luck, you should be proud, and I would be proud if I had a son like you.

I have a wife who understands that I love her but am still gay. I say let those who leave do what they need to heal the gaping wounds obtained in the battle for their happiness.
Likewise moondogg, I love how members of the mormon church who are supposed to be in the world but not of it can never leave the world alone. The truth of the matter is that these people who leave have every right to hang on to the church in whatever manner, no matter if it is negative. The church was there spouse and they were beguiled. Frustration is a normal part of healing. I say this as a married gay mormon who is active and happy in the church. But I can sympathize with those who leave.
The Bible states that homosexuality is an abomination in the eyes of the Lord. Please read Leviticus Chapter 18 v.22 or better yet this is the verse: 22 Thou shalt not lie with mankind, as with womankind: it is abomination. Look up in your topical guide TG Homosexuality: Jude 1 v 7 Even as Sodom and Gomorrha, and the cities about them in like manner, giving themselves over to fornication, and going after strange flesh, are set forth for an example, suffering the vengeance of eternal fire.

I love how when people decide to leave the Mormon church, for whatever reason, they can never really sever their ties to the church because they devote the rest of their lives to trying to explain to others how the church is bad and wrong, almost as if they're trying to justify their own actions.
You're gay. That's great. So go be gay and just leave the Mormon church behind. Why do you need to tell other people that the Mormon church is wrong simply because it doesn't condone your lifestyle?
You are very courageous. It was hard enough on my sexuality as a straight male, so I can't even imagine the torment on someone who grows up gay in the church. Please keep reaching out to others like yourself.
Well said, brave, and honest. We have similar opinions and I thank you for taking the time to reach out to those who might be struggling with the "freshness" of their conflict.
seems like, what a gay mormon is going through in his life and all his pains/sufferings can ONLY be understood by other gay mormons who had the same experiences and background in mormonism. it is always very easy to judge people.
btw, thanx for all these videos you uploaded, they truly helped me!
I was one of the members that through my support of the Churches stand on prop 22 in California (the law to stop gay marriage) caused Stuart Matis, a gay member to commit suicide as a form of protest. Stuart identified my actions specifically in a letter. I did nothing more than what my church asked me to do. I will never stand again with the Church in denying gay members their God given right to happiness.
No he wants to change a system of Laws and religious beliefs to include his homosexual choice. When God said No he is trying to change Gods Will. Doesn't matter the religion unless God says so we are not to acknowledge gays as a gender. Yes God still loves us all but does not approve of your choice to be gay.
Every gay person fighting for his/her life against the efforts of any church to snuff out the source of strength and joy within them needs to see your videos. Congratulations, young man, on deciding to take the journey you have taken. I suspect that your message may save some lives.
I only wish that there was more help for me over here in Scotland as I feel very suicidle sometimes because I always remember the teachings that those who do major sins which homosexuality is, will never return to be in gods presence. Clark if it is possible can I telephone you about all this sometime, I know you don't know me but I would love to chat with you about it all and it will not cost me anything to call you on your home number or your cell.
There are for sure groups you can frequent to help you in Scotland. And remember that god is the judge, not man.He did not write the bible.People wrote it from testimonies of his words about a hundred years later.Besides,no part of the new testament, which, according to Jesus reported words, replaces and nulifies the old testament, literaly condemns homosexuality. Only human interpretation(or,mostly, inventionsdecided it was sinful.Homosexuality is love. And God will judge fairly on the basis of love.
Thanks for doing this. It needed to be said! Your life sounds a lot like mine, except on top of being a gay Mormon, I also live in Louisiana. The static for being gay here is just as bad as Utah, and it's been a struggle to find validation and become a whole person outside the church. Like you, I think I've adjusted pretty well. Thanks again!
Want validation? go to San Fransisco. As for the doctrine and trying to live the gospel you cannot. Homosexuality is not of God. The Law of Chastity is ordained by God. This is why it is not of the church and if you want to be a mormon you have to live by its principals. Not the church has to conform to your choice of lifestyle.
I was sexually abused by a Mormon Bishop when I was a teenager. This man went on to be a Stake President in California. All I ever asked for was an apology, which I never received. They just couldn't do it. So I have nothing positive to say about this Cult that can't do a basic, we're sorry.
hmmmm... i only have one question for you. HOW? How on earth can you live this way, knowing fully well from the church's teachings that it's wrong? I'm absolutely disgusted with the church. I will admit, I am a gay mormon, but with the lengths that the church has gone to to forbid homosexuality, I don't understand how you can still live in the church like this and not have been excommunicated or something... Anyways, yeah, just help me clear up a little confusion i have.
EXTRAORDINARY Video. I needed this message so much today. Thank you for taking the time to put it up. I hope to share it with some family members that are very uneasy about my choice to no longer be an active member of the LDS church. I hope that they will see what I did. Once again, THANK YOU.
Furthermore, there isn't a lake of fire. Gimme a break. God gave you common sense and I'm sure you have it in there somewhere. And you should know that these strong conservative views only have an impact on your happiness. You'd enjoy life more if you cared less about all the gay sex taking place and focused more on your own life. Just a thought.
Giver, Carsonacon & Ze...you're confused and following a book which has been incorrectly translated so many times, that very little of the Bible is even accurate. Type in "Pale Blue Dot" on YouTube and you'll find a good representation of how religion is man made. Also, God made all of us, even gay people, and if we weren't meant to have hot gay sex, he/she wouldn't have given us sex organs.

What a failure at life and being a mormon. You can be one or the other but not both geniuses. I wonder why the video camera shut off, cuz it was tired of your crap! Also, you DON'T understand the gospel fully because you obviously have rejected a lot of years being in the church. God didn't start this world with Adam and Steve. ;)
I'm also a gay, once mormom, that had find my own way to find spirituality, and live happy as a gay man.
Never thought about suicide for been a gy/mormon because I´m very comfortable been who am I, finding a commum ground w/ my sexuality and spirituality on my own terms.
Loved your videos and I look foward to see more of u ;)
Is nice to have some one like u that speaks about been gay and mormon, w/ so much honesty!
As a gay and once member of the LDS Church I understand perfectly what u said and feel, since I had my on experiences in this area, and u call " journey " to find peace w/ both very strong sides of your persona.
It is very hard feeling that we have to deal w/ in every day bases, and I think u r doing a great job in this spiritual/self quest.
To sum up: if you're a person of faith and struggling like Clark was describing, if you're considering between choosing between life and your religion, then CHOOSE LIFE.

are you kidding me?! "all homosexuals have their part in the lake of fire" shows you how much God hates the wickedness of homosoexuality and, whether you believe it or not they will be punished on judgement day by God.
...Are you a kid? Try using mature, sensible adult language if you want to give yourself any credibility.
On the same basis, a man and a woman cannot use contraception when having sex. Worse still, heterosexual couples unable to conceive are not allowed to have sex, either. In both cases they'd be enjoying intimacy for the pure pleasure of it and not to bare children. Is that so horrible to you ZeZiMaPwNt?
No, and no I'm not a kid but I'm not gonna start yelling HEY GUYS GOD GAVE YOU A PENIS AND GIRLS VAGINAS, and no, I never said it was horrible because Gays and Lesbians can't help their want for the same sex, but when people argue about WHY God is against Homosexuality, that is the reason is because he did not give us "private" parts for pleasure, but to expand his world.
I believe that God gave us sex organs to enjoy ourselves and deepen our relationships with others, not just to have children. Why can't those gifts not have more than one purpose?
You still don't answer my question as to whether you believe God wants heterosexual couples who cannot conceive (for no fault of their own) to enjoy having sex with each other? If they can, why can't homosexuals, seeing as you don't think it's horrible that some people are attracted to the same sex?
heterosexual couples i really feel bad for because they did not do anything bad to recieve that disability, but let homosexual couples do what they want, it's up to them but then again in the BIBLE it is said that sex organs are made for conceiving and not pleasure. I did not make the rules of this world, God did, so don't be asking me, ask him.
If you want to believe that God made up the rules of this earth, then I respect that. Don't you think however, that those rules presented in the Bible are subject to different interpretations, and there there could be more than one right answer?
Private parts are for pleasure, otherwise reproduction would be pretty boring. Furthermore, if God only wanted our "parts" used for the sole purpose of reproduction, then I'm sure He could have made the pleasure less when using those parts for recreational or homosexual purposes. But the point is that sex brings people together, its meant to be pleasurable to help stimulate our desire to reproduce, and it isn't something dirty that needs to be controlled. Sex is good. Judgment is bad.
Whatever, I'm out of this conversation. All I wanted to say is that the BIBLE, the word of God HIMSELF, says homosexuality is wrong, and it's obvious that most of the United States is against homosexuality (I'm not taking sides to Homosexuals OR the people that are prejudice towards them), but if you're Mormon and decide to go against your religion that has kept you going for all of your life since you were a kid, it's pretty stupid to go against all of those rules and just turn "Gay" instantly.
I hope you realize that none of this really matters. Its easy for us to get caught up in things we feel are important. Its easy to get caught up in a feeling of seperation. But ultimately we carry God and faith in our heart, and we are the only connection to God. There is no seperation from God as long as we are connected to ourselves. Mormon, Catholic, Buddhist...all distractions from self and our connection. Look inward, not outward.
I watched all of your videos and I am dumb struck. You are a very very brave man who has deep commitments. Your series will help young men whether they are LDS or not. I'm hoping you have found someone to love because you have so so much to offer. May God bless you and take you under his shoulder.

Are you wearing that shirt with pride for:
The electric shock that gays have been given in your church?
Murder of Native American?
Murder of other settlers on Sept. 11, 1857?
The criminal act of Joseph Smith of trying to shut down a critical newspaper?
The racist belief that native people "Nephites" were marked with dark skin?
You remind me of a jew that feels Hitler had the right idea.

So far.

It's sad how we (and many others) were brainwashed into thinking there was no happiness outside of the church.

any belief that being born gay is a sin in the eyes of the Lord, is utterly stupid and narrow-minded, and must be viewed as a blasphemy: for it is God who created you the way you are. Only He has the right to judge people for what they were born to be. Despite my being straight, those words are coming right out of my own mouth.
I love you just the way you are, Clark, and thanks for all those wonderful testimonies of yours.

HOLY BIBLE 2 SAMUEL 1:26
"I am distressed for thee, my brother Jonathan: very pleasant hast thou been unto me: thy love to me was wonderful, passing the love of women."
That said, well so David loved someone the same gender and that love he felt towards him, Jonathan, was even stronger/higher than what David felt towards women... mmmmmm, doesn't it sound like homosexual love to you?!?
I just wonder why people keep hiding the truth! God bless us all!!!

LDS = IGNORANT
Trust me.
docgroovy 2 years ago
MrSlt369, you should do what I did, and pull YOUR head out of your ass, stop looking down your nose at others who are not LDS, or whom you presume are spiritually inferior to yourself, and try loving people in spite of who or what they are.
You may actually learn what it means to be "Christ-like", and to "love your neighbor" for the first time in your life.
Someday when you finally realize what a crock of shit the LDS "church' is, you will be embarrassed for ever believing it.
docgroovy 2 years ago

Thanks for spreading the good word.

TheOptimusprime9 2 years ago
probably because of the loneliness, stigma and discrimination that's attached to it. When my cousins came out they were ostracised by people in their wards. From what I've heard, most gays fall away because they would prefer to share their life with someone rather than live alone and celibate in the church their entire lives.
prestda1 2 years ago
That is unfortunate. Ostracision doesn't seem like the best approach to this...

So dont give these kids courage to ask that question and then get a horrible answer in return from a close family member! That would send them quicker to the grave. Its sad but its true

Why don't you people just go all the way: Study the mormon "religion" from an objective perspective and see that it's a TOTAL scam from the very start. See that your pain has come from living the LIE of religion--the existence of sky-daddies. Admit that you were RAISED to believe in magical thinking.
Admit the simple (easily observable) fact that religious people (through the ages) who went around telling people they KNEW about "supernatural" realities....actually knew nothing of the kind.

lets say a male duck has gay sex w/other male duck, just what did that accomplish 4 nature? poor duck is a loser genetically, did it fulfill its duckly destiny or was it a genetic dead-end, duh
a nature that cant tell the diff, is destined 2 fail, humans can socially control their behavior, sexual urge is natural/sexual -orientation is learned
what of Infertile people? they at least have the reproductive apparatus to make babies, while gays r literally dead-ends
so how exactly is it natural?
FC275 2 years ago
So the only point of living is to make babies? What if a woman is barren, then she is just pointless and nothing?
jtkalehua 2 years ago
No, only one of Gods laws is to multiply and replenish the earth. Women who are barren aren't pointless. They have many other things they can do to live the laws of God- they can choose to adopt or if they don't want to have kids they can choose not to have kids.
They can still be a part in the growth of teaching others the gospel and the world through their point of view.

I was one of the members that through my support of the Churches stand on prop 22 in California (the law to stop gay marriage) caused Stuart Matis, a gay member to commit suicide as a form of protest. I will never stand again with the Church in denying gay members their God given right to happiness.
Please have a long life with joy.

Like you, I think I've adjusted pretty well. patomalo73 4 years ago

God gave Guy and Girl Parts so that people can have kids, not for homosexual sex, and that is why God does not want Homosexuals on the Earth...
ZeZiMaPwNt 4 years ago
"God gave guy and girl parts"...
...Are you a kid? Try using mature, sensible adult language if you want to give yourself any credibility.
On the same basis, a man and a woman cannot use contraception when having sex. Worse still, heterosexual couples unable to conceive are not allowed to have sex, either. In both cases they'd be enjoying intimacy for the pure pleasure of it and not to bare children. Is that so horrible to you ZeZiMaPwNt?
timonline2000 4 years ago
No, and no I'm not a kid but I'm not gonna start yelling HEY GUYS GOD GAVE YOU A PENIS AND GIRLS VAGINAS, and no, I never said it was horrible because Gays and Lesbians can't help their want for the same sex, but when people argue about WHY God is against Homosexuality, that is the reason is because he did not give us "private" parts for pleasure, but to expand his world.
ZeZiMaPwNt 4 years ago

Yes, I do believe that God could have meant multiple things when he made the rules of sexual orientation.
