They were doing medical experiments like this on animals AND HUMANS all over in the early-mid 20th century - Russia, U.S., Japan, Germany, ... But it's only moral to dissect the people on the other side of that imaginary geographical boundary. Those people over there are savages, less than human. My senator and commanding officer told me so.
Fake and gay, it's a well know fact that brain damage occurs just a few minutes after death so EVEN IF this was real the dog does not return to it's natural state.
Besides, this reeks of being fake, why trust this experiment with dogs from a country that recently admitted Lyca the space dog died minutes after launch but said the doggy was fine? … only took them 40 odd years to come clean.
@DGHProductions Its a black and white film and when they are reattching the head there is either less light or light is coming from a source on the other side of the head so it seems dark.

I call myself an animal lover but I'm not like those guys. I respect the lives of animals, but I don't get all up in arms over stuff like this. I can see this for what it's worth: something that in the future can save the lives of many humans and animals etc. but, really? bringing gay into this? not cool

@117cam An experiment on an animal which can help advance technology further is one the worst acts humanity has ever commited? What about the failed experiments? What about retards that just kill em for fun? What about wars?
@Eggmaster2029 fuck u man. no need to get knarki at me! i did say 'one of the worst' not "it is the pinicle attrocity"! anyway i dont think u quite understand what how the poor animal is feeling! sympathise with another creature for fucks sake. wars dont even compare in the end thats just human nature at work. but this is going into a space of science that should be left untouched. morally and ethically speaking.
@117cam This can advance technology further. It will feel pain, but that happens with most animal test subjects. And without such "torturing" animal tests, many medicines wouldn't be known to be safe for use. The dog was most likely one of many that was bred to be tested anyway, it probably knows no better and had nothing else to look forward to.
Nobody makes more of a stink than animal "lovers". I swear, I posted a comment on a video about the hunting urban foxes saying "You know, maybe we should start domesticating them so they're not dangerous any more" and it was received with MONTHS of people whining and saying shit like "ANIMALS SHOULD BE FREE TO YIFF ALL THEY WANT!" and other irrational, ill thought out crap that flooded my inbox. So anyone to take them down a peg deserves my thumbs up!
Okay now im curious as to this technology. i wonder if it could be applied to humans in a hospital, to give too fargone paitents a chance to say goodbye to loved ones, or allow doctors to fix a shortly dead mans wounds/preform surgery on a cardiac arrest paitent and bring them to life afterwards? intresting...
To all you "animal lovers" out there, your stupid. First of all, this is the god damn internet. Second of all, its a dog. ONE DOG. STOP FRETTING OVER A GOD DAMN DOG FROM THE FUCKING '50s. IT WAS SCIENCE. IT MAKES SENSE. I have 4 pet cats, and one thing i CANT STAND is people who whine about science on animals. Step forward, have the expirment done on you. Thats what i thought. I also agree, pointless animal cruelty is wrong. But an expirment now and again? if it has good intentions, i suppport.
wow. I cant believe they are actually able to do this. Now I do believe that one day, Hitlers brain will be inplanted into someone, making the anti-christ. Im mostly serious....mostly....:)
alot of these kind of videos were made during wars, by many different countries. they would create them and smuggle them over to different countries to make their rivals believe that even if their soldiers were killed they could revive them. not saying it applies to this one, but alot of procedures they carried out in this video were scientifically incorrect.
Also although i believe this is fake, experiments similar to this are carried out for real and it is blatant disgusting animal cruelty.
Omg, you dont like this? Then take a nice cup of stfu, all they were doing was research, those were different times, i love animals not as much as some of the furfags that commented video, but i adore animals, i watched this and i was intrigued, i liked what watched because this was a advancement in technology and science by the looks of the dog he was old and died of it. This dog lived and died for a test that may lead us to produce life support systems.
@Skeletonwitharaygun Nothing has a 'right' to live. We're all just fortunate enough to be alive. Your right to life is actually set with an expiration date that negates that contract.
i know most of these comments are "OMG the poor dog". but regardless i am in amazment. THEY HAVE BROUGHT BACK THE DEAD ! why do we see no heads in jars. if this video is real then it is not impossible, and i am 100% certain that if it were possible someone would have signed up to have this tried out on them when they die. i mean the prospect of living forever is just to tempting not to try.
i can only imagine the extreme ammount of pain that isolated dog head must have been in because i guarentee the exposed nerve endings where the neck was severed were not dead especialy if the head could react to outside stimulus the pain had to be unbearable and it doesnt matter if its only a dog its still a living creature if you want true science use a human cadaver not an innocent animal you just killed and mutilated for the sake of science
It is terrible however people shouldnt forget that most advances in technology, medecine or whatever need sacrifices in order to advance, like that stupid sentence you need to break a few eggs to make an omlette and before anybody is calling me a nazi swine and a cruel human, tbetter check yourself you hypocrites, do you think mice and monkeys are not suffering in medical and experimental nowadays? are they less valuable then a dog? why scream at those evil russians why not the pharma industry?
People who don't support these kind of experiments need to go back to the dark age and trust in god to heal their failing internal organs. Fucking morons.
Something is truly wrong with Russia.... So they not only sent the dog into the space and left it to die there, they fucking tested some god damn experiment with a fucking dog head. If any country were gonna be bombed, it's so fucking gonna be Russia.
"So they not only sent the dog into the space and left it to die there"
Several, not just one. Americans did it too in suborbital flights. In fact, every country ever used animal experiments. Also, Laika was given poisoned food because the spaceship was overheating quickly.
why couldnt they have used a animal that humans do not connect with like a pig or some other animal that we would overlook i didnt cry over this it made me want to punch a russian in the face for doing that too a corgi and some of the other videos that people put up that are the same after this one had put that the dog had puppes after the experiment and was put back together just to inform all of you the dog did not have puppies after the experiment they destroyed the body
@Staffsgtryanl "animal you don't connect with" LOL thanks for that retard. You have just attemted to give an a priori on which animals people do and do not "connect" with. And with winning like that it's doubtful you would ever have the balls to do anything to anybody-- let alone a Russian-- that's hurting an animal you "connect" with lol.
I love this video. The technology is more or less whats used to keep people on life support today. Its amazing to see how we developed over time. Also, try watching whilst listening to St James Infirmary by James Booker. Makes it more dark.
@IchBinAbschaum22 So just becuase im 15 means that I am a scared little kid? Open you'r eyes man! This is stuff bordering on war crimes! And you'r saying this is for the greater good? I still see people getting hut, I still see sickness, famine, death. You'r assuming that just because some drastic experiment was carried out, it means it's for the greater good of mankind? What if this wasn't really for that purpose? I'm sure you wouldn't wanna be sewed up time after time and dying over and over.
"I still see people getting hut, I still see sickness, famine, death. You'r assuming that just because some drastic experiment was carried out, it means it's for the greater good of mankind? "
Perfect solution fallacy. You have lost the arguement.
@Szgerle Your answer makes a lot of sense for me, those who supports this war-nazi sadic experiment with no actual results are tipical alienated people, marking commentaries like yours and from many other people as spam, making stupid statements, and gloryfing nazi medicine.
@Szgerle I'm sorry, i forget you are a teenager which only worries are about how to clean your ass, let me explain it to you: when i said no actual results it means no citation from any other relevant medicine article nowadays that includes revival process, is that clear to you or it is to hard to understand it yet? Maybe nazi is a synonym to sadism? Ring any bells? Ohh, maybe i should've written the full party name so dumb persons like you understand it, sorry.
@Szgerle Killing your own population when you're losing the war, keeping a desgraceful cientist(Menguele) who tortures in any kind of way possible, anihilate every kind of population not arian, having a human procriation program to build armies, having a full nationalist pattern system with extreme agressive systems that manages and control the population. No harmful glory excuse system? No way? you ARE crazy. Experiment is a part of Research. Research DO requires citations.(They aren't Newton)
Except you wont cite old and basic research. Experiments like this contributed more than anything else to cardiac bypass surgery, hear-lung machines etc.
@Szgerle Hahaha. Prussia then Germany, passed along many political systems, with the disastrous loss of WW1 and the ascencion of Hitler, the point of nazism was clear: rebuild Germany in resemblance of a nation that, besides suffering a huge loss, now would rise as a perfect example of an ideal nation, based on an OPRESSOR military-racist system that would be exported by force. Very, very sadic. Scientists, they, not me, are leaving this kind of experiment behind. Who are you to tell otherwise?
@Szgerle If it didn't you would've said why. I can only assume that you've just realized that you can't finish an unsubstantial argumentation based on the fact that your knowledge is partial and too limited.
You are trying to veer off from an arguement you know you would lose. You still misused the word "nazi" in a futile attempt to evoke an emotional response.
@Szgerle Replying my say doesn't make your's less ignorant. The fact is that you don't know what both nazi and sadism is in its basic or deep definition, and by persisting in a ignorant point of view you are just reenforcing a mistake that you atribute to me, when in fact it's yours.
@Szgerle Statements are all limited, closed arguments with stricted sense. Ignorance is denied at all terms by those who believe in something prayed by those who formed his personality, since he cannot justify another point of view due to his lack of capacity of seeing the truth and define the fact as it is, but instead justify his position based on a simplistic persuasive argument made by another who tells himself wiser. You are calling yourself a nazist, not me.
@Szgerle I wasn't explaining how science works, but how ignorance do. The words you've quoted are the ones ignorants deny relation with simply because they're not part of a religious or extremist movement, but still follow questionable concepts and methods blindfolded just because it looks well explained or scientific related, even if its own knowledge is insufficient to understand what he justifies as correct.
@Szgerle A simplified argument: you are an ignorant person. You do not have the capacity to create an argument by judging a subject with values crafted by yourself. Your brain only works as a defective storage device that spills incorrect, stricted and pre-defined information that was inserted according to your limited judgement capacity. Anger or denial are the most common reactions.
@Szgerle The topics related to research and nazism were all finished. Denying the fact that science is leaving these methods behind and that you are calling yourself a nazist will only make your situation more embarrassing.
@Szgerle Being angry about being wrong won't make you right. You can quote it, deny it, scream like a spoiled brat, but it won't change the facts. The only reason that you still did'nt give up is simply because it would make you look like an idiot. Beside's that, the conversation is over my friend, your arguments felt down, about the research topic and everything else. Deny as long as you want, it will only make you look more stupid then you already are.
@Szgerle And what makes you believe that what your saying it isn't a logical fallacie? All my replies were a good chance for you to give an actual substantial argument agains mine. Why then if what i'm saying about research and everything is else is a logical fallacie you didn't come up with a reasonable argument that contradicts mine instead of repating a statement? I need to explain that you? Give you an authorization so you could do it? What you're doing is purely childish.
@Szgerle Hehehe, even youtube is marking your statements as spam. Everytime i answer your reply first i got to come here and check since spams aren't recongnized as actual replies and then youtube don't send a notice of reply to my mail box. Now don't start saying that what youtube automated systems do is pure logical fallacie. Kind of unfair, its just an automated system, have a little pitty.
@Szgerle Idem, first i've said scientists are leaving these methods behind, and then you've just been repeating that i don't have an argument. You are the one who owns me an argument, after all i already said mine. Want me to repeat it? Ok. " Most part of Europe Union and 70% of all US Medicine Schools already leave behind tests like these shown in this video." And then i ask you: Why support the persistency of this kind of method if the scientists are choosing other way? Plain and simple.
". You are the one who owns me an argument, after all i already said mine. Want me to repeat it? Ok. " Most part of Europe Union and 70% of all US Medicine Schools already leave behind tests like these shown in this video." "
And then I asked for a source which you failed to provide.
@Szgerle And here it is: news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/europe/8619605.stm - Europe Union - BBC
w.w.w.pcrm.org/resch/meded/ethics_med_list.html - US - Physicians Committee for Responsible Medicine
The only methods still done are those where no alternative were found, the basic and necessary, although respecting the animal and level of pain and cruelty. You people go insane thinking that all kinds of methods were aborted, you people need to read and learn more so then you can speak about it.
@Szgerle No problem, i took care of that for you, i've contacted the only ones who can provide that proof: BBC and PCRM. They'll happily contact you anytime soon about the incident and provide any details you may require.
@Jackpot807 You're absolutely right, just to mention that 99% of the people who are calling you kid are just as old as you are, so don't care for what they say.
@gnarkillkicksass What's the application, eternal life (with periodic interruptions, thus making death feel like mere sleep)? Is there a "non-hollywoodian" application?
@LucasCAPS Stopping people dying in the operating table makes organ transplants much easier. It is effectively the predecessor to the mechanical pump that you are attached to during a heart transplant. As far as sustaining life on one after someone has had huge body trauma gives the doctors and surgeons more time to operate and not rush procedures. And I personally look at those life saving initiatives in a positive light.

But an expirment now and again? if it has good intentions, i suppport.

alot of these kind of videos were made during wars, by many different countries. they would create them and smuggle them over to different countries to make their rivals believe that even if their soldiers were killed they could revive them. not saying it applies to this one, but alot of procedures they carried out in this video were scientifically incorrect.
Also although i believe this is fake, experiments similar to this are carried out for real and it is blatant disgusting animal cruelty.
Emily1993xx 6 months ago
@Emily1993xx This is very real. Probably one of science's most serious individuals in history wouldn't just blindly state these things.

This dog lived and died for a test that may lead us to produce life support systems.

buliufas 7 months ago
@buliufas
"Maybe nazi is a synonym to sadism?"
Nope, it is not.
"said no actual results it means no citation from any other relevant medicine article"
Thats not how experiments work. You dont cite Newton in a paper on gravitons despite his research was fundamental.
Szgerle 7 months ago
@Szgerle Killing your own population when you're losing the war, keeping a desgraceful cientist(Menguele) who tortures in any kind of way possible, anihilate every kind of population not arian, having a human procriation program to build armies, having a full nationalist pattern system with extreme agressive systems that manages and control the population. No harmful glory excuse system? No way? you ARE crazy. Experiment is a part of Research. Research DO requires citations.(They aren't Newton)
buliufas 7 months ago
@buliufas
"Maybe nazi is a synonym to sadism?"
Still not, despite going offtopic rants.
"Research DO requires citations."
Except you wont cite old and basic research. Experiments like this contributed more than anything else to cardiac bypass surgery, hear-lung machines etc.
Szgerle 7 months ago
@Szgerle Hahaha. Prussia then Germany, passed along many political systems, with the disastrous loss of WW1 and the ascencion of Hitler, the point of nazism was clear: rebuild Germany in resemblance of a nation that, besides suffering a huge loss, now would rise as a perfect example of an ideal nation, based on an OPRESSOR military-racist system that would be exported by force. Very, very sadic. Scientists, they, not me, are leaving this kind of experiment behind. Who are you to tell otherwise?

buliufas 7 months ago
@buliufas
You are trying to veer off from an arguement you know you would lose. You still misused the word "nazi" in a futile attempt to evoke an emotional response.
Szgerle 7 months ago
@Szgerle Replying my say doesn't make your's less ignorant. The fact is that you don't know what both nazi and sadism is in its basic or deep definition, and by persisting in a ignorant point of view you are just reenforcing a mistake that you atribute to me, when in fact it's yours.
buliufas 7 months ago
@buliufas
Reductio ad hitlerum. Its a logical fallacy and you are trying to argue from emotion.
Szgerle 7 months ago
@Szgerle Statements are all limited, closed arguments with stricted sense. Ignorance is denied at all terms by those who believe in something prayed by those who formed his personality, since he cannot justify another point of view due to his lack of capacity of seeing the truth and define the fact as it is, but instead justify his position based on a simplistic persuasive argument made by another who tells himself wiser. You are calling yourself a nazist, not me.
buliufas 7 months ago
@buliufas
"believe " "prayed "
Thats not how science works.
Szgerle 7 months ago
@Szgerle I wasn't explaining how science works, but how ignorance do. The words you've quoted are the ones ignorants deny relation with simply because they're not part of a religious or extremist movement, but still follow questionable concepts and methods blindfolded just because it looks well explained or scientific related, even if its own knowledge is insufficient to understand what he justifies as correct.
buliufas 7 months ago
@buliufas
I'm not even reading your posts anymore. Post an actual arguement or GTFO.
Szgerle 7 months ago
@Szgerle A simplified argument: you are an ignorant person. You do not have the capacity to create an argument by judging a subject with values crafted by yourself. Your brain only works as a defective storage device that spills incorrect, stricted and pre-defined information that was inserted according to your limited judgement capacity. Anger or denial are the most common reactions.
buliufas 7 months ago

Beside's that, the conversation is over my friend, your arguments felt down, about the research topic and everything else. @LucasCAPS Stopping people dying in the operating table makes organ transplants much easier. It is effectively the predecessor to the mechanical pump that you are attached to during a heart transplant.
