@asiainsomnia can't agree more. The interschool Athletic and Swimming competition are deep in our root. And that's what we believe in for our whole life. That's the time when you feel passionate about something. That glorious feeling you had when your school won the champion is just the same as China won an Olympic Gold.

from a passerby's perspective what the mc said was quite funny and i don't really know how thats unprofessional, since an mcs supposed to maintain an atmosphere and arouse emotions, and from that perspective she certainly succeeded haha.

@chansiumingholunsing in lsc, athletes need to study. they enjoy no privilege. we don't give priority to athletes for entry to f.6. i agree it's a shame to prioritize a school's honor over the future of a student. that is why we emphasize the importance of not buying people but to teach our athletes work harder. whatever tricks our rivals play, we beat them by clean tactics.just to clarify we don't buy sportsmen.this is wt we adhere to.
@cestrenze LSC athelets can play hard and study hard. For DBS athelets, they just got no quality. Even they got zero marks in HKCEE, they still can be admitted in form six in DBS. from a passerby's perspective what the mc said was quite funny and i don't really know how thats unprofessional, since an mcs supposed to maintain an atmosphere and arouse emotions, and from that perspective she certainly succeeded haha.
DB people should stop getting pissed over a joke - it really is no big deal. unless of course..its not a joke. in which case you should reflect on why people pick on that.

@chansiumingholunsing in lsc, athletes need to study. they enjoy no privilege. we don't give priority to athletes for entry to f.6. i agree it's a shame to prioritize a school's honor over the future of a student. that is why we emphasize the importance of not buying people but to teach our athletes work harder. whatever tricks our rivals play, we beat them by clean tactics.just to clarify we don't buy sportsmen.this is wt we adhere to.

@cestrenze LSC athelets can play hard and study hard. For DBS athelets, they just got no quality. Even they got zero marks in HKCEE, they still can be admitted in form six in DBS. This made them look like a tool for their school. There are too many examples both in swimming and atheltics in DBS concerning these kinds of cases.And pls dun force me to disclose their names

The main point is what the MC has done... Under no circumstances should she insult other schools. "second to none" is DBS's banner only, why did she bother with it? Also, for "homegrown athlete", why did she need to interfere with the policies of other schools in choosing their own members? MC should be NEUTRAL! Her identity as vice-principal has nth to do with her MC job in the prize presentation. While it is her style at school, it does not grant her the right "attack" other schools! DISGRACE

@0102murphy It's not the first time I've had to say this, but every school in Hong Kong does the same thing. There is virtually no difference between a DBS boy admitted in F.1, in P.1 and in F.6. The difference is in whether these boys feel the sense of belonging that we now so proudly call the DBS Spirit. I tell you now, yes they do. That's what we call 'home'.
Don't even dare tell me LSC relies on homegrown athletes. No, they don't.

@yfjameslo. LSC will not admit any students after form one. Even it happens, it will be just very few cases say one or two. But for your school, you can buy people from mainland to kick football , you can buy people from other schools to particpate in cross country in order to challenge LSC record, you can but A LOT OF swimmers from other schools to continue your legend.So that is called "non-homegrown athelets " in DBS.
