House of Kolor. They have several color shift illusion colors. They call it Kameleon, dupont calls it Chromalusion. Dupont Absolute Purpleen goes green also....actually it seems to shift to green more than the other colors, which I do not like as much, but it offers the whole color spectrum. This car has a few tricks in it. Watch "Kamelon Cat" on you tube. It is the same base HOK color, but I think his goes "brown too often" my car hits a beautiful candy blue when his goes brown.

"Kameleon" color paint (as you call it) contains a special chemical called Chrynderia. Its only found from the depths of shallow ponds in east egypt. Its actually a collection of dried bacteria soaked in vaporized liquids. Its so rare that google cant match any documents to it, so dont try to test my intense knowledge. Chrynderia bacteria is so strong that it actually rotts the material its on causing an illusion of different colors adjacent in the color wheel.

"Kameleon" means to Camouflage or blend in this does far from that its correct term is called Pearlecent (Brighter and multiple colors) or Iridescent(darker and fewer colors) 3rd you stated that "Chrynderia" is a chemical and a bacterium it can only be one you idiot.

@ford4point0 thats because you just made some shit up. the paint works through a process called goniochromism. goniochromism happens when light passes through multiple semi-transparent materials causing a phase shift in the light like a prism. metal flake and other elements can be added to change the appearence of the effect. but the effect is created ONLY through the use of goniochromism... not some fantasy bacteria.

Im a auto painter. I priced some Dupont Chrome Illusion. I think it was fire Ice. orenge to red. was going to put it on the hood of my Modified oval race car. $490.00 a pint. i said Fuck That!!! Your car looks super. i cant see doing a hole damn car man, thats bucks, and guts. I use Dupont the most. I painted my Show car with Standox paint and clear. real nice clear. I think its all good realy even Nason if you mix it right and dont guess on the ratio like some idiots.

Great Job! I put BASF Extreme Twilight Jade on my '03 Windstar. The grocery getter got some attention. People just don't understand the cost involved in just buying the paint. I've seen many chameleon jobs look like crap because the painter thought you could just dust a couple coats of it over a black base. Without proper application and the correct # of coats, these jobs turn out very blotchy. Your TA is a "shining" example of how to correctly apply a chameleon paint job.

$3500 including the paint & labor to install a new quarter panel, door skin, front fender, hood, and resurface the front bumper cover and align all panels and also to spray the T-Top jams and both door jams with Kameleon AND to flow out three coats of Urethane clearcoat and to color sand and buff the entire car to a mirror like finish.
