  • dry water is powder with silica and 95% water, please dont confuse the 2.

  • so its the same enviromental impact as Co2?

  • Here's a video showing it in action: u74jclWGaf4

  • @camircea Just in case anyone is interested the video posted by 'camircea' does show it, and really well too. Give it a look, pretty damn cool.

  • This is stuff is extremely powerful as a fire extinguisher; it is not conductive at all (you can fully submerge running computers in it), it has very low toxicity (you can drink it and you won't have any serious problems - you may feel a little weird though), it evaporates harmlessly (is broken down by UV light) and does not damage paper at all - hence it's usually called "dry water" or "waterless water". Amazing stuff!

  • yes you can drink that,, and nothing will hapeen,,, it is one of the most clean agent i have seen one guy drinking that liquid

  • you can drink it but you may die hahah

  • just let the gov't regulatory office burn down and use what you want :P

  • so its highly toxicity !!

  • Is Novec 1230 expensive?

    Is it drinkable?

  • and just to add, the novec discharge time is 10 sec at maximum. Meaning fire extinguished extremly fast and effective... water mist will damage your equipment, meaning you cant use it for art galleries, server room, archives etc etc... I've seen this stuff working, I have sertificate for working with it and trust me, it's the most effective and friendly solution.. not so cheap tho.

  • It's absoulutely safe for health and nature.

  • when burning this is SUPER dangerous, use Water mist instead.

  • Hmm. I gotta get myself some of this stuff!

  • Doesn't this stuff have the same thermal decomposition products, like HF acid as the other synthetic clean agents?

  • TDP for C-6 Ketone has tolerable levels. For class A fires decomposition is likely others HFC extinguishers. For class B fires, has appreciable levels.

Remember NFPA 2001 recommends times to release. You shall contact a reliable company when you're buy an extinguisher system.

  • When you have a Class A fire most of time think in water.

When you have a Class B fire most of time think in foam and Dry or wet Chemicals

When you have a Class C fire think in CO2, Inert agents and Clean agents. C-6 Ketona is the best of clean agents.

  • I want some of that in my fridge

  • the best clean agent fluid for fire suppression system application
