1970s ice age predictions were predominantly media based. The majority of peer reviewed research at the time predicted warming due to increasing CO2.

A survey of peer reviewed scientific papers from 1965 to 1979 show that few papers predicted global cooling (7 in total). Significantly more papers (42 in total) predicted global warming (Peterson 2008).

Using the 1970 news articles is wrong. That is not what the scientist said or wrote. That is what the reporters reported to sell newspapers. It's a bunch of crap. Hundreds of articles were published warning of CO2 and global warming. Only a handful spoke of global cooling. However, in geological time periods, from 1970 to now, is less than an eyeblink. These global cooling warnings were correct then and are still correct now. The global chill down is happening.

think about this - if global cooling was really the scientific consensus and now the facts show that we aren't cooling but instead warming, shouldn't this be worried. the fact that human behaviour is heating the planet when in a normal earth cycle we should be moving towards an ice age is perhaps a more reasonable worry than to not even think it exists. we should always be aware of what we are doing.

You're forgetting that only 10% of carbon emissions can be attributed to us 6-ish billion humans. Most warming is caused by water vapor. Sea levels have risen. The US and some European countries are experiencing record snowfall.

The second to last statement I deduced from reading actual statistical data from actual scientific papers written, peer reviewed by actual scientists. The same scientists who are part of the group of 30,000 scientists denying that climate change is attributed to humans.

Global cooling was a fact but was not backed by the scientific community. The fact is, in that day climatologists completely ignored the existence of greenhouse gasses besides water vapour and CO2, and if they believed the global warming would continue it was due to exactly that, but there was not enough real evidence to support the theory that the earth was entering an ice age, and in fact it wasn't because the cooling was balanced by a warming and both were anthropogenic.

IT WAS A SMALL HYPOTHESIS THAT NEVER REACHED THE GENERAL PUBLICS EYE UNTIL 25 YEARS AFTER ITS DISCOVERY IN 1945, and by that time the cooling (due to sulphate aerosol cooling) was over, and we entered into a phase of warming. THERE WAS NO HYPE!!! The cooling stopped because we stopped using aerosol due to the hole in the ozone layer. Do your fucking research before posting pure fabrications and lies.

How is this related to the egg video? The truth is that no-one knows what is going to happen. but that the temperature is undoubtedly rising. Ironically temp rise will (or could) lead to global cooling. The warmer Gulf stream increases ice melt, which in turn desalinates the sea (locally), which then stops the warmer more salinated sea water from the Gulf from sinking to the bottom and returning to the Gulf.
